22.01.2022 A year ago I had the honour of making Lauren's cake for her sweet 16th birthday, today I delivered her 17th birthday cake. Lauren is an absolute inspiration, I met her through Cake Angels as she is battling brain cancer. I cannot imagine going through what Lauren and her family go through and on top of all that having to spend her birthday in isolation is really tough. All of Laurens friends and family put in to have over 700 balloons fill the house, so I thought I would draw... inspiration from another person I admire, Marianne from Tastefully Yours Cake Art. This cake design had the balloons I wanted to use and whilst nowhere near the standard of the original, I just loved bringing it to life for Lauren.
