Holding the lowering rope, Alan on the ground here can hold the weight of heavy piece of branch/log up to 100kg using the friction device. 15.01.2022 This week I'm contracting to Burnett Trees working on the Princess Highway after multiple fires have come through and decimated the forests. Lots of trees have been compromised at the base from being burnt out, including this one. This prune was at least 50% of the canopy which has weighted the tree away from the highway in case it falls. @arborist_lev up in the tree

12.01.2022 This piece of wood is why you hire an ARBORIST! This photo is a cross section of wood from a long lateral branch which weighed approximately 1.5 tonne. This decaying and soft/foamy wood was all that was holding that amount of weight. And from the outside everything looked healthy! We We made a judgement call to prune off 3 long, large laterals on this blue gum and 2 of them showed decay at the join. Stay safe. Don't get up on ladders. Call an an arborist to assess your trees.
