21.01.2022 When troubles come, do we consider it an opportunity for great joy?

21.01.2022 Two of our missionaries serving in South Asia, Kumar and Dileeni, have been able to help provide support to those who may be struggling from anxiety, helplessness and fear due to the impact of COVID-19. After two weeks of lockdown, a team of counsellors who meet with Dileeni weekly shared their concern to her to address the mental health of people during the lockdown. Dileeni explained, This seed thought has blossomed into ‘COVID Careline’, a free service offering sing...le-session counselling by phone. The exciting part has been seeing how the Lord empowered the team to pray, plan out the details, produce a flyer, and develop protocols and forms for use, all voluntarily because of their calling to serve God in this area. A group of 10-12 counsellors volunteer 45 hours per week to do this. Our prayer and hope are that through this initiative, many will find support, help and hope and be drawn to God, Dileeni said. #UnchangingGodUnchangingMission *Representative image used
