08.01.2022 3 things you should keep a close eye on for most Subarus Pre 2007: -Engine oil consumption: Check your engine oil monthly, while youre at it, inflate your tyres to 36 psi (this will improve safety, tyre wear and fuel consumption) -Over heating: Always monitor your temperature gauge especially on long trips. Subaru radiators are made from plastic and can crack without warning leaving you stranded. Another giveaway is If you can see signs of green coolant around the radiato...r or hose. If youre driving and the temperature goes above half way you should safely pull over to avoid blowing the head gasket. -Drivers window: (Mainly 2002-2007 Forester) The window switch commonly plays up/doesnt feel right which in turn keeps the power running to the window motor. If the window power switch is not replaced the window motor will also burn out making it a costly fix. Quick tip: Polish your faded headlights! Weve polished the right side headlight as seen in the photo which has improved night vision. With the addition of our new employee the workshop is as max capacity Almost 300 5 Google reviews says a lot about a business ... Wishing everyone a safe and prosperous new year, we’re keeping hopeful Few tips: -Be sure to check / top up your engine oil from time to time (between services) to avoid breaking down and engine failure -Inflate your tyres to 36 psi for safety, better fuel consumption and improved tyre wear -Subaru plastic radiators commonly split open without much warning often causing in costly head gasket failure. If your vehicle overheats past the half way mark on the gauge please pull over if it’s safe to do so ALERT!!! Purchasing a used vehicle? -Be sure to have it checked before paying for it. Most cars can feel nice to drive but quite often critical suspension components can be neglected resulting in costly repairs. We do Pre Purchase checked for $99 (no call outs) -Quite often major service stamps in log books, Eg I and J may be stamped however not carried out correctly. Catching up with service work can easily add $1500 plus post purchase so don’t pay top dollar for vehicles that haven’t been serviced properly KEEP YOUR EYE ON YOUR REGO EXPIRATION DATE and avoid a potential $1200 fine All our customers have the rego expiry date on the lube sticker (top right windscreen) Lastly thank you to my amazing staff for making it possible, forever appreciative and grateful
