25.01.2022 Just a small test run of beef sausage. After smoking this will go into a black bean stew

24.01.2022 Hey y'all, it's been a while! We're in here for a deep clean and tidy up, beginning to restock and will be preparing everything we need to reopen on Tuesday the sixteenth at 5:30. For the moment we're looking at booking one hour and fifteen minutes for two sittings, 5:30 and 7:00. This will give us time to disinfect between sittings. Bookings will be essential to start with but this may change as we progress, though contact details are still required for each party. We don't... want to charge a deposit for bookings but please be aware that we're going to be running at 50% capacity so if you're unable to attend, please ring us to help insure that we can remain viable during this difficult time. I'll post again before we open the doors but you can help us out by spreading the word . Happy to be cooking again and looking forward to seeing all of our friends new and old! See more

21.01.2022 We're baaaaack seafood Gumbo, that's what I'm talkin about!

21.01.2022 Hello folks! One week into our closure and time for an update. Firstly, thanks to you all for your expressions of support. We have decided for the time being to simply follow the directions from the health authorities and at this point we are not going to reopen for takeaways. This may change in the future but for now we're all sheltering in place. I personally feel that it would be irresponsible for us to create an unnecessary point of social contact. I love our food, and I ...love sharing it with y'all but I couldn't argue that we provide an essential service at this time. With luck and attention to detail and personal hygiene we'll come out the other side of this thing and you can come back to us for the flavours you've come to expect and enjoy. We hope that happens, and we look forward to seeing all of you as soon as we can. Stay strong. See more

12.01.2022 Wow folks, we don't have any tables available until Thursday next week (the 22nd)!

08.01.2022 Thank you all so much for your heartwarming and overwhelming response to our reopening! Thanks to all the staff for your hard work and dedication to Smokey Joe's, without you this thing just doesn't work! Next week we're continuing our two sittings and we will commence on Thursday through Saturday for the time being, but we will certainly add more if demand is there. We're just taking a cautious approach to insure we don't overextend ourselves in uncertain times. Thanks for your support and understanding.

08.01.2022 Sazerac Rye, the base of the world's first cocktail, from New Orleans, naturally. Available here and at Steve's liquor at a reasonable price. Shop with local businesses! We're back tomorrow from 5:30! Bookings essential as we're still limited by "density". We're going to play it by ear and with y'all's help we'll soon be back to some semblance of normal
