14.01.2022 Unfortunately no definitive direction from CCLC at this stage... below are a comments from the club today. "With regard to Internal Club activity, at this time nothing has recommenced within the Club" "number restrictions in venues are being lifted from 1 July and a 4m rule is being implemented however all guests must still remain seated whilst in the venue. I'm not sure how this will work for Billiards & Snooker. I'm sure there will be some rules implemented. The number per...mitted in the Snooker area is approx. 40 persons" We are still awaiting a plan from club operations for a pathway back to social and competition play, I wish we could share more but the direction and responsibility sits with club management.

14.01.2022 Entries now open for the NSW State Snooker Championship.

13.01.2022 Member Update... The NSW Government increased restrictions today for licensed clubs with clear guidelines stating all persons must be seated whilst in the venue. The CCLC Management has no timeline on the reopening the Level 2 Sports Room ruling out sub-club activity until further notice.... The level 2 Sports Room is mostly unsupervised therefore It's unlikely access will be permitted until the club can trade with minimal COVID-19 restrictions. We are aware of other Clubs in NSW are allowing access to Snooker Tables it should be noted their supervision, table locations and interpretation of the guidelines are very different to CCLC. If using these facilities we encourage you to respect their guidelines.

09.01.2022 Dear Members, The Central Coast Leagues Club has stated that under the COVID-19 restrictions they are not allowing any Sub-Club activity until further notice, therefore we cannot operate effectively. Today the Executive Committee of the Billiards & Snooker Club met and discussed many issues relating to our club operations, the following resolutions were agreed.... Annual General Meeting has been cancelled and the current committee will be unchanged until July 2021. Membership Renewal following each AGM will be waived for 2020 only, your current financial membership will be valid until the next AGM in July 2021. Club Championships for 2020 have been cancelled except the two C Grade championships already completed in February. Club Financials for 2019/20 have been finalised and presented to CCLC Management as per normal practice following the AGM. Presentation Night has been tentatively booked for 5th December but will only proceed if COVID-19 regulation permit. Regards, Michael Newman President

08.01.2022 Mingara has today closed their Snooker tables due to increased Health Restrictions.

07.01.2022 Dear Members, I have written to the club enquiring about access to our tables, hopefully I'll be in the position to share a response soon. We have seen lots of activity on Facebook about other clubs and regions allowing social play on their tables, this is clearly a club by club decision as the NSW Government relaxation rules don't actually allow this kind of activity in clubs until 1st July when 1 person per 4sqM rule is enacted, currently everyone in clubs needs to be seated.

06.01.2022 Final results from section play, the high break list and the knockout draw for tomorrow.

05.01.2022 Update on Return to Snooker and Billiards The Snooker and Billiards NSW Board recently met and have endorsed the planning of several events over the coming mont...h. As you can all appreciate this has been challenging given the COVID-19 restrictions and also the ability to host events at our preferred venues. More details will follow shortly but we can at this stage announce that: - Each tournament will be run over 2 weekends with strictly a 64 entries cut off - Minor Snooker dates Sat 31 Oct/ Sun 01 Nov & Sat/Sun7/8 Nov - State Snooker 28/29 Nov 5/6 Dec We are still working through the logistics but can announce that we will be partnering with the new Chatswood venue - 147 Society to host these important events. In other news.... - Planning underway to host this year's Annual General Meeting which will be run virtual for any financial members who wish to attend. Details will be announced shortly for the AGM in December - In the background the Board has worked hard on securing various Government grants that will be leveraged to develop programs in 2021 for Juniors, Coaching and Referee development. - The NSW Board has been collaborating with the ABSC on Referee development programs and we expect there to be more information cascading from the National level on this soon If you have any questions for feedback please do not hesitate to contact the Board through the contact form on our website.

04.01.2022 It’s with much sadness to inform that former member and club champion Adam Fitzgerald passed away this morning. Our thoughts and best wishes extend to his family.

03.01.2022 In the event that District Snooker & Billiards resumes in the New Year we would be seeking players to register teams in varying grades i.e Div1 ( A & A res), Div2 (B & C). If your existing club cannot commit due to room or table closures we may be able to accommodate extra players or even teams. If you’re interested please (direct message) this page/me as I’ll be compiling a list of available players. ... Best Regards, Mick Newman PRESIDENT
