22.01.2022 Im happy to talk to groups in the Batemans Bay area or to individuals who want to do some planning in advance.

22.01.2022 There are many different ways to remember the people you have loved and lost. Here are a few. Contact me if you would like to discuss a memorial ceremony.

22.01.2022 It is such a difficult time for family and friends who cannot attend funerals at the moment. An excellent idea in this blog, and also possible for families/friends to get together on Zoom or similar to hold a shared ceremony in honour of their loved one.

21.01.2022 Dying to Know Day 2020 is today - Saturday 8th August. Read The Celebrants Network blog to see how you can participate

20.01.2022 It is a difficult time for families at the moment. Contact me if you would like to discuss planning a memorial service for when all the family can get together again to commemorate your loved one

20.01.2022 This is an American article but it is relevant for Australia. Many people no longer want to hold a funeral in a church that they have no connection with. They opt for a secular funeral and a civil funeral celebrant. What many do not know is that you can engage your own celebrant and talk about the ceremony you would like and advise the funeral director of the celebrants name. If you are interested in knowing more I would be happy to talk to you

19.01.2022 An interesting look at a new phenomenom

19.01.2022 So even though Viking funerals are a "no no" I am very happy to work with families to make sure that the funeral or memorial ceremony you choose reflects the needs and wishes of the family.

17.01.2022 Many people now include a photo slide show during a funeral as photos are an excellent way to tell the story of a life well lived

17.01.2022 I am happy to help you with recording your life story

17.01.2022 Nobody really wants to use the services of a civil funeral celebrant - but when people in the Batemans Bay area need a professional celebrant to help them through a difficult time please give me a call

16.01.2022 Talk to me if you are not sure how to start the conversation

16.01.2022 A thoughtful personal letter, with or without a sympathy card is always welcome especially when it has lovely recollections of the deceased. A tree, rose or pot plant are often appreciated in lieu of flowers as they last longer. In many cases there will be the opportunity to donate to the familys choice of charity in memory of the deceased and knowing that has been done gives comfort.

16.01.2022 One of the real benefits of a civil funeral service (or a memorial service some time later) is that you can really show the essence of the person. Call me to discuss options for funeral and memorial ceremonies that both celebrate a life lived while acknowledging the grief of those left behind

15.01.2022 This is something few people think about but increasingly an important part of end of life planning

14.01.2022 So, while its not too easy to be buried at sea there are ways to achieve it especially if you make your wishes very clear in your end of life planning.

13.01.2022 I found this really interesting and it reflects the attitudes and ethics of the caring, professional funeral directors and staff I have met.

10.01.2022 Dying to Know Day is happening tomorrow 8th August - take some time to talk with those you love about end of life care, funerals, wills, and your digital footprint. I will be sharing more posts tomorrow

09.01.2022 If you are reading this you are a survivor of grief. You are pushing through with each and every day. You have moments of complete sadness, you are tender and y...ou are fragile. Yes, life does continue to go on even though you are forever chasing your tail.... You are inspired by love, you are inspired to be the better version of you, you are inspired by your family and those around you who hold you in high esteem.... May you recognise your strengths and take time to rest in between... Grief can not be rushed. See more

09.01.2022 A great response to the current pandemic

08.01.2022 Some of my funeral clients are busy planning their own farewell, some are sadly expecting a loved one to die and have started thinking about creating a meaningful ceremony to say goodbye and some are newly bereaved and feeling overwhelmed with all that needs to be done. Whatever your situation give me a call on 0402 615330 and I can be there to help you through.

08.01.2022 Articles like this do worry a lot of people. There are options that can reduce costs and these are best planned in advance. Contact me if you would like to discuss your choices. https://www.news.com.au//news-story/73782a1e91322f5e34d9bc

07.01.2022 Lots of important information today

07.01.2022 There are a couple in here that would not usually be choices at Australian funerals - Match of the Day theme for example - but many of these are "funeral classics" here too. What others songs can you add to this list

06.01.2022 The death of a loved one can be confusing and scary for children if they arent given honest information or are left out of the funeral. Join us for the next (F...REE!) NFDA webinar, "The Importance of Youth and Funerals." Using the Youth & Funerals booklet developed by the Funeral Service Foundation, Carrie Bauer and Sarah Moss will explore how to explain death to children, ways to include them in the funeral and how to prepare them for the service. 05.01.2022 Music is an important part of the funeral ceremony. I am happy to help people choose music for the different sections of the ceremony but it is even better when family choose the pieces that their loved one enjoyed or the pieces that remind family/friends of happy times together with the deceased.

05.01.2022 This caught my eye with its intriguing title. I thought it made a lot of sense - I know what my daughters think of some of our "treasures" so regular de-cluttering and some explanations about the much loved items that remain might be much appreciated by those you love.

02.01.2022 Do you want to talk to a celebrant about your options for a funeral or memorial service? Call 0402 615330

02.01.2022 I thought this was an excellent publication from the Cancer Council and well worth sharing for all those nearing the end of life or their family. As a funeral celebrant I am always available to talk to people who want to make plans for their funeral as part of their end of life preparation.

02.01.2022 Always happy to help families in the Batemans Bay area to honour their loved ones through funeral or memorial ceremonies and through pre- funeral planning

02.01.2022 Im not sure that the robot will be offering "beautiful personalised ceremonies" which I do every time I write a ceremony, but who knows what the future will bring

01.01.2022 I am happy to talk to groups in the Batemans Bay area during 2018 about the benefits of recording your life story and how to get started. Just give me a call to discuss your needs.

01.01.2022 Some good hints here for people who are writing a eulogy that they plan to deliver. As a funeral celebrant these are also some of the questions that I would weave in to our conversation about your loved one if you asked me to write the eulogy.
