15.01.2022 The times, they are a changing.

15.01.2022 Not all hashtags are created equal and this is one thing sooo many people get wrong when they’re posting content. The basics 1. You can use 30 tags per post. 2. They should be relevant to your niche... 3. They need to be varied in size. I recommend creating several sets of hashtags so you have a couple to play with. When creating your sets, I recommend you use 10 tags from 5k to 20k, 10 tags from 20k to 50k, 5 tags from 50k to 100k and 5 from 100k up to 1million. 30 in total. When you select tags for your sets, think about how people might search Instagram to discover your content. Using those words, find hashtags which pair up with the formula above. I also recommend using a mix of geographical tags and industry-specific tags (take a look at my favourite Canberra tags on the next slide). Why are hashtags a thing? Well, they will help your content be discoverer by people who don’t (yet) follow you. How do you know if they are working? Personally, I like to see hashtags achieve a reach of minimum of 300 impressions on accounts with less than 1,000 followers. If you mix a good set with your awesome content, posted at the right time, that’s when all the strategy of Instagram comes together, and you will mostly like achieve a much higher result. If you’re not achieving this and your investing a lot of time to your Instagram, then getting a handle strategy will be a game changer! So how might you do that? Glad you asked! The Social Soop, Nailing Instagram course will guide you through how to find hashtags, create sets for your business, how to measure if they are working and how to increase your content exposure. 10.01.2022 What does an empty New York street really have to do with any of us here in Australia? Well, it’s about gratitude. ... Have your ever had days where stuff just seems crap, then your words are crap and then your feel, well, crap? This use to be me ALL.OF.THE.TIME. I would allow negative thoughts and words to run my day. Then I discovered and began to invest in the theories of growth mindset and gratitude. And what an absolute game changer this has been. Simply changing the way I choose to see things and speak about things has helped me evolve to a better person. So, why does gratitude matter? Well, there’s two ways to look at life if you’re at home because of Covid. 1. It’s a lock down and I’m trapped at home. Or 2. I’m safe at home, I’m healthy and I’m doing my part to flatten the curve. Apply both these sayings to yourself based on where you live. Then re-apply, as if you were living in New York. See, gratitude. And Perspective also, will change the way you look at situation, you will suddenly realise that we are very lucky. Yes, it’s been an odd couple of weeks, with so many people out of work, I feel that and it’s hard. I just choose to be grateful for where we are, because I know we’ll get back to normal much faster than other Nations. See more

10.01.2022 Want to make an with your content? Then move over images and word tiles, because there is nothing more powerful than video. Video has come aloooong way from the early days, where you’d need fancy equipment and some serious editing skills. And to be honest, I’m so glad. The most effective form of content marketing (in my humble opinion) is honest to goodness ‘raw’ video, you shoot yourself. You know, the from you iPhone.... So many people fear their video content isn’t good enough for the gram, which I want to challenge. Let me present, Ariah on the spinning teacups at Disney Land (holidays, those were the days). As simple as this video is, it is also highly effective. Why? Because like this video, it conveys more joy an emotion in 8 secs than you can create with an image and caption. So, if like me and the other 10s of millions of Instagram users who don’t have budgets for high end fancy video development on the reg, it’s time to get saavy with what you have to create another dimension to your content. If you’re posting video to the gram, here’s a few things you *should* consider: You can edit the content and apply filters in apps like InShot. This will keep you content cohesive with your overall brand and aesthetic. Keep feed videos to under 15 seconds for maximum impact Don’t be afraid to try slow-mo or quick speed, again it adds a little something to your content strategy Don’t get over edity, with fancy effects etc. Good ol’ honest to goodness content sometimes works best. #postitforaesthetic #canberrawoman #canebrrabuisness #herglobalnetwork #darlingmoment #businesschicks #findyourflock #womenhelpingwomen #femalestothefront #leadersinheels #womeninfocus #socialmediamanager #socialmediaagency #happinessproject #9tothrive #goldcoastbusiness #sydneybusiness #hercanberra #theartofkindness #digitalstrategy #womeninfocus #oneofthebunch #theimperfectboss #businesswithheart #lmbdw #linkmindedbitches See more

04.01.2022 Are Sunday’s a work day for you? They are for me, and that’s ok. Before any work is done however, I’m mindful of spending time with family, doggo and just relaxing. ...
