25.01.2022 Presentation Night Postponed The decision to postpone the presentation night by the St Johns Junior Cricket Executive was not made lightly. We have weighed up all information presented to us and are conscious of those at risk and want to minimise the potential implications that having a large gathering may cause. We understand that this is disappointing but we will continue to re-evaluate and hold a presentation at a later date.

12.01.2022 16b PREMIERS 2020! In a very tight Grand Final St John's were victorious over Macquarie. After momentum swung back & forth, at the end of day one scores were almost level with St Johns 5/61 & Macquarie 4/60 - Highlights were Ryan Boland's direct hit run out, Rudy Peet with a crucial wicket & Zac Warren unfortunately run out for a very valuable 20. Day 2 Macquarie had the early momentum to at one point have us 8/83 & very confident but with Bolo grinding it out & joined by E...lias Sarantzouklis the boys were still confident. Grand Finals can bring out some special performances & Ryan & Elias produced a 46 run partnership to finish the innings on 8/129. Ryan finishing on 38* & Elias 16*, an outstanding recovery mission, now giving the team something to defend. Macquarie took to the crease needing 70 from 23 overs, not out of reach by any means so we needed some quality bowling. Some unsung heroes then stepped up with the ball, Will Cuthill was outstanding with his pace & control, Aiden Kinsey, Jacob Wilson & Josh Bywater hardly bowled a bad ball between them, the performance of these 4 shouldn't go unnoticed, their contribution to the end result was massive - whilst they were wicketless they created pressure with their control & were backed up by some committed fielding with Sean Duggan, Scott Taylor & Jack Strawns eager to cut off any run attempt. Enter the last 10 overs & Macquarie still needed 50 runs, not out of reach. Perhaps the game defining moment was when Macquarie batsman Jack Fuller attacked Lockie Rummans down the ground only to fall to a great catch by Man of the Match Ryan Boland, Bolo again stepping up when it counted most. Rudy Peet & Lockie were able to close out the innings with both again barely bowling a bad delivery under pressure at the death & Elias executing a neat Stumping to seal the win. This will likely be remembered as the "Ryan Boland" match and rightly so but in the end a great team effort from a great bunch of mates, well done.
