The last few weeks have been challenging but also a sense of u...nity and support amongst the travel agent community. Over the years I have worked with and amongst some of the most incredible people I know. I admire all my industry peers for the dedicated devotion and persistence to provide solutions and service towards your clients at this time, including my incredible colleagues and leaders at work . Going above and beyond and yet being aware of the financial losses that are burning. To my friends and family - It is at this time, the purpose and reason for using a travel agent to book your holidays is stronger than ever. Travel agents have knowledge of great offers but is more than that - they also have in depth access to information and personal experience and recommendations you cant find online. (I have too many stories of errors and mishaps to share, of people doing things by themselves , you would laugh). Travel Agents have strong and direct relationships with suppliers and cruiselines. For me, a phone call is only a phone call away for any of my travel agency partners. After the fires, drought, floods we learned to use the term #shoplocal #buylocal #spendwiththem Friends, next time you want to book a holiday , please remember you will have a local ATAS/AFTA/CLIA travel agent close to your home and neighbourhood to handle your holiday .
