19.01.2022 If you live in the Toowoomba Regional Council area, sporting community groups can apply for up to $499 from Council as 1st part of funding to help the community deal with the effects of COVID-19. Part of an overall $10.5 million package.

18.01.2022 Cheques in the mail.. or so I am told. Clubs successful with the Active Infrastructure Grant Program will start receiving their money this week. This is the grant program where clubs could apply up to $20K from the Dept of Sport and Recreation Qld.

Queenslands rising sporting stars who face challenging travel bills just to get to competition, will now be able to receive government subsidies upfront, before they compete. The Emerging Athlete Pathways (EAP) subsidy will see the inclusion of pre-event payments of up to $1,200 come into effect this month. As part of the Activate! Queensland strategy, this new Queensland Government program is designed to help the families of talented young athletes to o...vercome difficulties faced because of distance. The EAP program previously known as the Young Athlete Travel Subsidy has been re-designed after the launch of Activate! Queensland, the states 10-year, $1.3 billion plan for getting more Queenslanders moving, more often. The bones of the program are the same providing financial assistance to athletes under the age of 18 who are competing at the state, national or international level and need to travel at least 250km to their event See more

16.01.2022 Supporting Queenslands sport and active recreation industry Queenslands sport and active recreation industry is wide-ranging and plays an important role in encouraging and providing physical activity opportunities to all Queenslanders. The COVID-19 pandemic is causing significant issues for the industry and is affecting Queenslanders more broadly with a reduction in physical activity opportunities.... The Queensland Government recognises the valuable contribution the sector makes to the Queensland community and economy, and the challenges it is facing during this time. Were committed to supporting the sport and active recreation industry so that it is well-positioned to successfully reactivate when the COVID-19 pandemic has passed. We are currently working with state-level sporting organisations, peak bodies and relevant stakeholders to gain a greater understanding of the critical issues affecting the sector. This is a complex time and we want to ensure we support solutions that bring maximum benefit to the community. Well continue to provide you with regular updates during this period. You can also access the latest information via our sport and active recreation news page. Information is available about facility closures, funding programs including FairPlay, and advice for sport and active recreation providers. 09.01.2022 Might be worth a talk with your local Councillor, Mayor,Community or Sports Development Officer on how your local facility can be upgraded under this program. $200 million boost to the Qld Govts successful Works for Qld program. The boost to the program means communities right across Qld will see new, upgraded or refurbished playgrounds, swimming pools, community centres, caravan parks, sport and recreation facilities, libraries, water and sewer infrastructure, and waste man...agement facilities. .

04.01.2022 Are you on a P&C or P& F or know someone who is? Changes to take effect from the upcoming Round 104, will now say that state, private and independent schools are now ineligible to apply for a Gambling grant in their own right or as a sponsored organisation. However,P&Fs and P&Cs are eligible to apply if they meet the organisation eligibility requirements. Give me a call on 0409820013 if your P&F or P&C want to improve facilities at your school.

Dont leave it late though, The Active Kids Grants have been established with the aim of providing every child with the active childhood... they deserve, by supplying them with the equipment they need to participate in sporting activities. The grants will be focusing on volunteer run grassroots and community clubs with young members aged under 20, with priority given to clubs in disadvantaged and/or rural communities. Suggested grant values are up to $10,000. Applications will be accepted from 1 September 2020 to 30 September 20 See more

01.01.2022 Community Energy Efficiency and Solar Grants 2020 The Australian Government Energy Efficient Communities Program - Community Energy Efficiency and Solar Grants 2020 provides community groups with grants up to $12,500 for energy-efficient equipment, energy generation and storage systems, and energy audits. You can use a grant for one or more of the following: Design, supply and installation of new solar photovoltaic generator systems Purchase and installation of new batter...y systems and battery storage systems Purchase and installation of new solar hot water heaters or air source hot water heat pumps, to replace existing equipment Purchase and installation of Light Emitting Diode (LED) lighting equipment or energy-efficient lighting controls to replace existing equipment Design, supply and installation of high efficiency split system air conditioning units to replace existing equipment energy audits Energy audits The maximum grant amount is $12,500. The maximum project period is 12 months. There is an estimated $3.8 million available for this grant opportunity and therell be a maximum of two projects funded per electorate (all Queensland electorates are still open). See more
