23.01.2022 International Babywearing Week 2020 - embracing the future This is one of my favourite babywearing photos of me with my son - me embracing the future. An article of mine recently published in the @thenaturalparentmagazine describes how babywearing supports child development. 23.01.2022 So so proud! My husband Scotty and his business Mister Stitch just received the East Kimberley Chamber of Commerce and Industry Business of the Year, 0-4 employees. I admire his skill, his craftsmanship, his meticulousness and his courage to start again when things don't meet his expectations for quality. And I am so envious of his ability to turn a flat piece of fabric into a 3D shape! Congratulations my love, you are amazing. So well deserved. xx

22.01.2022 Back at my old stomping ground! I’ve been at teaching block for uni the past few weeks as part of my post-grad studies in continence and women’s health (hence the absence on social media). I’m learning so much and can’t wait to share with you.... Kato x #curtinlife #sproutandme #nurturenewlife #becausenewbeginningsdeservetobenurtured #kangatrainingkununurra

22.01.2022 In this challenging time, there is nothing better than a snuggle with your child. More than ever, holding your child close keeps them safe, helps you both stay calm and supports your health. 15.01.2022 Oh be still my beating heart! I didn't hear Morrison say this - a gorgeous new participant passed this gem onto me at our post class cuppa..... She asked him, "What's your favourite part of Kanga, Morrison?" and without hesitation he replied "My mummy!"... Well.... I think my business partner should take over our marketing portfolio!! What a way to showcase the indescribable, beyond the workout, off-the-charts-value of Kanga. I am so incredibly blessed. And yes, he came up for class and my muscles are feeling the extra 20kg! Thank you my child Kato x

11.01.2022 Celebrating World Breastfeeding Week Kununurra style with an amazing gathering of local families. A privilege in so many ways

06.01.2022 Behind the scenes! I’ve been a bit quiet on here lately, as I have been busy studying and sprucing up my skills for our new Kanga - Tupler collaboration. I am so excited to be bringing what I’ve learnt to you.... Our floor work structure is updated with our international collaboration with the Tupler Technique. And we incorporate these changes into the whole class to enhance your abdominal awareness and rehabilitation. I am one of two instructors in Australia completing an extra training program so I can become accredited. As part of this training I am rehabilitating my own and a case study's abdominal separation, by doing intensive exercises and wearing a splint. It’s amazing so far and I’m already seeing improvements in my core control. This approach is all about being, fit, strong and healthy - the measuring tape you see is used to demonstrate improvements in diastasis rectus separation, not weight loss. The gorgeous goddess was a gift from Rebel Black from The Rural Woman, her curves carved from opal clay and celebrates the "lusciousness" of the female form. Yaasssss!!!! The custom Kanga mug was a gift from one of the first participants to come to our classes and handmade by Birdland Functional Art. I am so blessed to have these opportunities and to bring them to our remote community. And with the magic of videoconferencing, anyone can join in! 02.01.2022 It's our second kangaversary! Time indeed flies when you are having fun - without the proof of how much my joey has grown in these pics, I wouldn't believe two years had passed. I am so grateful to have found kanga and to have these memories with my son, my kangafamily and my community. I feel so blessed!... The biggest, most heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone of you for your contribution to this journey, I wouldn't be here without you. Kato xx

01.01.2022 I was asked to write an article for Kangatraining Australia sharing how life changed very quickly - to return to work sooner than expected and had our family life turned upside down in the last few months. Here's my story, thanks so much for your interest! When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be. ~ Lao Tsu I love being a work-at-home-mum. For the past two years, I have had the honour of being with my son while I put my health management role on hold. I am so ...Continue reading
