20.01.2022 Has your volunteering days or charity giving dropped off? Many charities are still looking for financial support or grocery donations. Charities like the ASRC, allow you to make online supermarket donations from your living room couch. https://www.asrc.org.au/get-involved/donate-food-and-goods/

19.01.2022 Have you found it difficult to give back to your community through volunteer work during the CV-19 lock-down? Unfortunately, many of the charities are unable to receive our traditional support during this time. If you know of any charities that are still looking for (non-monetary) support, we'd love to hear from you! (Image below of charities St Faith's has traditionally supported -taken in Feb 2020 before the church moved online... what a change 6 months has seen!)

07.01.2022 What does a lit candle mean to you? Candles are commonly used in many religions, however at their core they are about bringing light to darkness. Have you considered how you could use them as a source of comfort, outreach and hope, during Melbourne's stage 4 restrictions? Candles at curfew: Lights of hope The Anglican Archbishop of Melbourne, Dr Philip Freier, is encouraging Victorians to light a candle each night at 8pm and place it into a window of their home where no fire ...risk exists as a sign of hope as the newly -introduced Covid-19-curfew takes effect across greater Melbourne. Wednesday night at midnight new and stringent restrictions came into effect that further limit movement and personal interaction in order to help stop the Coronavirus spread in Melbourne and throughout Victoria. Curfew time gives Victorians an opportunity to pause to remember each other in their shared experiences, and hold in their minds those who are on the frontlines of our welfare. Lighting a candle is small action that all can share. I will be lighting a candle at my home tonight, placing it in the window facing the street on which I live, Dr Freier said. I invite people across our communities to safely light up the windows of their rooms, apartments and houses. Together we can spread the light as a sign of hope in these dark days. Everybody is invited to share in lighting up our city at curfew time. People of faith may want to pray as they light their candles. See more

05.01.2022 St Faith's excitedly welcomes new locum vicar Reverend Judith Atkinson to our (currently virtual) parish! Judith is originally from England and came to Melbourne via Boston Massachusetts and Sydney. Ordained in Durham Cathedral in 1996, Judith is a bi-vocational priest who also passionately works in the areas of housing and homelessness. Meet Judith at one of our regular zoom Sunday Morning Prayer Services (Morning Prayers are shorter than the services you might be used to...). For more information as to the services or to reach out to Judith please contact: [email protected]

05.01.2022 Sorry, folks, we seem to be having internet trouble this morning; my attempt at livestreaming didn't work at all. Look forward to praying with you tomorrow!

02.01.2022 Did you come across any saints this All Saints Day? Last Sunday we considered how we can use the triumphs and flaws of saints to live our lives. Next time you're struggling to find the right path, you may find it helpful to reflect on how official and non-official saints have set examples for your life, this complicated side of heaven.

02.01.2022 Are you finding the inability to attend religious buildings or services during a cv-19 lockdown difficult or liberating? Christians all over the world are discovering, debating and exploring what it means to worship at kitchen tables via video call, rather than in pews with grand organs. How will you understand this week's reading, 'For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them', once the lockdowns are lifted? ... The picture is of the Roman Pantheon, which has seen more than a few changes in worship practices over the years...
