20.01.2022 It's just after lunch time and after buying a bottle of Kiwi Fruit Champaign, Ange Oldfield is trying a glass of Chai Beer. Chocolate is also one of the ingredients in the beer. As she dances to the Latino music at the White Rabbit Brewery, she says "That's one way to get women to drink beer, put chocolate in it"

19.01.2022 Tonight we tried the latest release from Matilda Bay, the "Lazy Yak" and thought those craft beer enthusiasts that are among us may appreciate a bit of a review on what is the first major attempt by CUB to lead on from the extremely successful Fat Yak, using the Yak brand instead of its brewing company, Matilda Bay. Previous attempts by CUB to reflect any of the success of Fat Yak back onto Matilda Bay have been largely unsuccessful and thus Fat Yak remains the premier craft ...beer from Matilda Bay. So you can expect the Lazy Yak to be one of many "Yaks" which are to be released. (obviously riding on the success of this one) The Lazy Yak is an "Australian Pale Ale" brewed with a combination of hops including Matilda Bays signature hop from the Cascade Mountain Range. It is a little bit weaker than its Fat Yak (4.7%) cousin at 4.2% ALC and the back of the stubbie suggests subtle passion fruit and citrus aromas. The first thing you notice is the beer has a much crispier texture than the Fat Yak. Much like the Japanese Asahi or Carlton Dry. The flavor resembles something like an alcoholically infused box of cereal and on visual inspection appears to be a macro larger dressed in pale ale clothing and the taste just confirms it. It really has nothing in common with a pale ale. I suspect the only person willing to buy this beer in the future would be the patriot who would prefer to drink an Australian Pale Ale over its very distant cousin, Fat Yak an American Pale Ale. Recommend you try it, as taste is always personal, but its probably not one we would purchase again. See more

17.01.2022 A very excited Rob Egorov posts his experience from the latest Brewery tour. The tour involved visiting breweries and beer houses in both the Picturesque Yarra Valley and the Melbourne CBD. White Rabbit, James Squires, Little Creatures and the all new Napoleon Cider house were some of the stops. Everyone was picked up in the morning and dropped to their door step that night.

16.01.2022 For Stackies Tours customers who like our new Facebook page. 24 hour deal only. A case each of the Bin 1 Shiraz and the Riesling $504 delivered to your door!! You can also get a single case of each for just $280. Thats as cheap as $21 a bottle shipped to your door for some great award winning wines. "Beautiful lemon/lime fragrance and a fine, soft palate with enough acidity to leave it nicely balanced. De Garis found it "very lime-juicy, with a spicy lift on the nose. The pa...late broadens a bit, but there is plenty of flavour and zing". The balance and length help the wine's drinkability and it will fill out further over at least four years." Nick Bulleid MW & Mike de Garis, Gourmet Traveller Wine, November 2013 http://www.bestswines.com/bin1shiraz http://www.bestswines.com/riesling IF YOU LOVE YOUR WESTERN VICTORIAN WINES, DONT MISS IT. SHIPPED FROM THE CELLER DOOR, TO YOUR DOOR. NO EXTRA COSTS.
