15.01.2022 At the end of this week, summer holidays will begin and we will end another fabulous academic year. On the last day of the year, as students walk out the classroom, we want them to leave making a difference in someone else’s life.... This week, students can place their old school shoes in the Project Yumi collection bins. These shoes (and pencil cases) left behind will then be collected by the Australian registered charity, Project Yumi Inc, to be distributed to students thr...oughout Papua New Guinea. So those shoes, which are likely to be outgrown by the next school year, won’t be sent to landfill, but will have a second life. Not only will your child be making a difference in another child’s life and contributing to the environment, but they will be learning a powerful message about kindness. There is no obligation to take part but we would love if you could help us support this charity and the work they carry out in Papua New Guinea. For more information on the impact Project Yumi is making please see their website- www.projectyumi.org Please note that children can wear another pair of shoes after donating their shoes this week. https://www.facebook.com/projectyumipng See more
