21.01.2022 Dear Friends This Sunday marks the 13th Sunday in Ordinary Time. We invite you to join us online for Mass at 11am AWST, Sunday 28 June. After a long journey or after a hard day’s work, we know how welcome it is to be invited in, made comfortable and helped to ease our burden. Indeed, hospitality is one of the hallmarks of civilised humanity. How much more so with the hospitality which God offers to us?... We invite you to join in this celebration of the Eucharist together with the Perth Catholic community with the opportunity to hear the word of God and to make an act of Spiritual Communion together as an Archdiocese. It has long been a Catholic understanding that when circumstances prevent one from receiving Holy Communion, it is possible to make an act of Spiritual Communion which is a source of grace. Spiritual Communion means uniting one’s self in prayer with Christ’s sacrifice and worshiping him in his Body and Blood. Acts of spiritual Communion increase our desire to receive sacramental Communion and help us avoid the sins that would make us unable to receive Holy Communion worthily. 17.01.2022 Dear Friends This Sunday marks the celebration of Corpus Christi. We invite you to join us online for Mass at 11am AWST, Sunday 14 June. The readings for the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ emphasise the importance of partaking in Communion at each celebration of the Eucharist.
