On behalf of the School Board, the parents and students, I wish to convey our deep gratitude for all of your immense efforts throughout this term of remote learning. ... It has been a daunting task for many families made manageable by the professionalism and structure you have provided our children. The level of learning opportunities you have provided have allowed our children the chance to continue their education. Equally impressive though have been your steady, calm selves that have appeared on our children’s screens everyday for the whole term. You have appeared energised and positive which in itself is commendable during this time. I wish you a truly restful holiday and thank you again. 22.01.2022 We picked up our second lot of remote learning packs yesterday - the work that has gone into these by our truly stellar teachers is amazing! We are set for the next 6 weeks of remote online learning. Feeling very grateful that the kids (and parents) are being so well supported by the St T team. Thank you from the Heine family! Our table is supporting a LOT of activities at the moment... Our family are often ‘all in this together’ right here!

18.01.2022 COVID-19 Fact sheet for parents and families of the St Thomas the Apostle School Community As we are very well aware COVID-19 is here and we all have to ensure we are taking good care of ourselves, our children and our extended families, particularly elderly grandparents. We are fortunate to have access to a wide range of information communicated via print media, television, social media and radio. It can be overwhelming and difficult to know what information is true and als...o up to date and how to interpret the information. If you are sharing information with others please ensure you are aware of your audience and be certain the information is relevant to them and from a trusted source. If you or your children require regular medications be sure to have up to date prescription. Make sure you and your children are utilising outdoor spaces while following the recommendation on social distancing and are not overusing devices. The social isolation that comes with social distancing is not easy for any of us. It takes planning and creativity and we will need to connect to our friends and families. Have a think about the ways that this can happen virtually so that you can keep in contact with your friends, your colleagues and family to help not only our physical health and wellbeing but our mental health and wellbeing during this time. Your enormous efforts in the past three weeks to ensure a decent home-schooling program could be delivered to our children is much appreciated. Although we are all still trying to smooth out minor technology issues, the provision of structured programs, daily contact with the class and open communication including... personalised ‘how to’ videos has shown again how much you care for our children’s education.
