22.01.2022 START OF A NEW ERA From being a local community club within Western Sydney with 10+ years history to being associated to a suburb - KELLYVILLE. The club is now rechristened from Sydney Supersonics to be called KELLYVILLE SUPERSONICS SPORTS CLUB. This is a major leap in the history of our club. 22.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE Cricket is back after the break! The 2020/21 PDCA season will recommence this Saturday after the christmas break. We request all members to abide by the NSW Health Covid-19 safety precautions and guidelines including the use of hand sanitizers, avoiding shining the ball using saliva or sweat, check-in and check-out using the ground’s QR code, avoid sharing equipment, etc.... The latest list of case locations and dates can be found here: https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/latest-news-and-updates If you’ve been to or been in close contact with anyone who’s been to these locations on the days mentioned, we recommend that you get tested, self isolate, and wait for a negative result before participating in this week’s fixtures. In this regard, the team captains will circulate a link to an online form among their team members to complete. We understand that this may come across to some as an incovenience and being over cautious, however, the safety of our members and in general, our community, is of paramount importance and is our #1 priority. Should there be further developments or changes to fixtures, we will keep you posted.

22.01.2022 WET WEATHER UPDATE: The Junior and Master Blaster programs scheduled for tonight has been cancelled as The Hills council grounds are closed until further notice. The sessions will be rescheduled to the 11th of December. We await further updates from The Hills Shire Council later today regarding the games tomorrow. We will keep you posted.

Should there be rain overnight or in the morning, teams are expected to be present at the venue for the umpires to decide. If teams don't make themselves available, it may be deemed as a forfeit and full points may be awarded to the opposition.

10.01.2022 *GRAND FINALS UPDATE* With very clear advice from Cricket Australia, Cricket NSW, and government health authorities, there was no alternative for PDCA but to call-off the grand finals round. Although this is a disappointing end to what was an exciting season, Sydney Supersonics Sports Club respects and supports this decision of the PDCA at such unprecedented times. The round cancellation means teams finishing higher on the points table at the end of the league stage is deeme...d the winner. We're extremely happy to announce that Supersonics B14 are winners of their grade after finishing top of their table at the end of the league phase. Our hearty congratulations to the team! At the same time, we'd also like to wish the Supersonics B6 team on a splendid campaign. Although they finished 4th in the table, their clinical display in the semi-final to beat the table toppers only demonstrates how good this team was! 04.01.2022 Hearty congratulations to Supersonics B6 and B14 teams who have qualified to the Grand Final of their respective grades in this season's PDCA Summer Competition. Both teams chasing down targets set by their opponents to qualify. Supersonics B6 were set a target of 121 for victory by Erskine Park. Supersonics chased it down comfortably with 5 wickets to spare. The chase was setup really well by the opening batsmen for the middle order to take us home. Hari Marappan delivering... a stellar performance on the big stage with 2 wickets and 34 runs with the bat. Earlier the Supersonics bowlers bowled with exceptional discipline to restrict Erskine Park to 120 All Out in 36.3 Overs. Supersonics will be playing against Guilford Leagues in their Grand Final next weekend which is expected to be a fascinating finish to the season.
