22.01.2022 Further to new guidelines issued by the Department of Education overnight, It is with deep regret that we have had to suspend next weekend's workshop and performance of 'Oola Boola Woo - The Story of Five Islands'. We hope that the social-isolation measures introduced will enable us to resume the program very shortly. We'll keep everyone updated.



20.01.2022 We currently have children from 37 local schools participating in the 2020 program - 'Oola Boola Woo - The Story of Five Islands'. We will continue taking applications between now and early February, and will coordinate auditions to suit everyone's availability. To register your interest please complete this on-line Application Form.

18.01.2022 We currently have students from an amazing 35 Illawarra schools participating in the 2020 Flame Tree Project 'Oola Boola Woo - The Story of Five Islands'. Auditions will continue for the rest of this School term. To register your child's interest please complete an on-line Application Form or call us on 0437 885731 for more information.

18.01.2022 The first weekend of music workshops was fantastic! A big thank you to a wonderful and talented group of students, all of the volunteers, the creative team, all of the parents and, of course, the Wollongong Conservatorium of Music who have embraced The Flame Tree Project. We look forward to seeing everyone again in March.



17.01.2022 The Flame Tree Project's 2020 performance will be on Sunday 22 March, 5.30pm at The Ribbonwood Centre, Dapto. Tickets are now on-sale through Eventbrite. The costs are: Adults $10... 10-18 years of age $5 Under 10 years of age free To purchase tickets go to: https://flametreeproject2020.eventbrite.com.au We have 6 original pieces which have been created, inspired by children from over 30 local schools, and written by contemporary Australian composers. We also have a supporting video produced by Beyond Empathy and Coomaditchie United Aboriginal Corporation for the program. The children and songs sound sensational! Come along.

12.01.2022 The deadline for claiming the 2019 Creative Kids Voucher for $100 is 31 December 2019. If you haven't claimed the 2019 voucher and would like to do so towards your child's participation in the forthcoming program this will need to be processed by New Years Eve. 2020 Creative Kids Vouchers can be processed from 1 January. The audition process will recommence in January. Interested parents/children should apply using the on-line form shown in our Facebook posts or by calling ...me on 0437 885731. We currently have students from 37 schools participating and would love to have that number 40+! From Kate, myself and the whole Flame Tree Project team, have a wonderful Christmas and New Year.

06.01.2022 We're delighted to announce that Rohan Hinchey and Belinda Hass from IRSO Recruitment will once again be supporting The Flame Tree Project for our 2020 program 'Oola Boola Woo - The Story of Five Islands'. It is the generosity of businesses such as IRSO Recruitment, IMB Bank and Sydney Water, as well as The Wollongong Conservatorium of Music, which enable us to provide young children of all backgrounds with a professional music learning environment. Thank you to you all!
