15.01.2022 This is another book I have had published and recently launched in Yea, Victoria.

12.01.2022 The Silent Book: A Deaf Family and the Disappearing Australian-Irish Sign Language was self-published and launched in Australia by author Bernadette T. Wallis in 2016. In 2017, Bernadette travelled throughout the UK and Ireland to launch the book. Three years on, the book is still selling, and the topic is just as important as ever. It tells the story of Bernadette's parents growing up profoundly Deaf and Deaf history, language and culture, particularly within the Catholic D...eaf Community. In AUSLAN which is used in Australia today, there are signs that are influenced by Australian-Irish sign. Copies can be purchased online here: https://missionarysisters.org.au/product/the-silent-book/ For further enquiries, email [email protected] or contact Bernadette Wallis through this Facebook page messenger.
