25.01.2022 Due to allergies and car pooling the lovely ladies who attended Saturday's workshop weren't able to use the wattle, so I've been making sure I don't waste it. I think I like it with this eucalypt even more than the gum leaves. But enough of what I've been doing with the leftover wattle ... next will be the workshop video footage - coming soon #winterwattle #eucalyptus #wreathlove #warwickqld #sqcountry #southerndowns

22.01.2022 I've been experimenting with hearts again, and more wattle of course while it's flowering. I made this heart base last winter from willow - it takes time for them to turn golden brown.

21.01.2022 I love old church buildings in the country, and have been keenly following Mark and Leanne's story at @marleacountrylife It was a real treat to meet them today, and be shown around their historic home. The building is amazing, and is now being painstakingly and beautifully restored. Thankyou so much for your time and help today Mark and Leanne, and graciously allowing me to take photos with my wreaths and garlands. #historicalbuildings #southerndowns #sqcountry #countrylife #oldchurchbuilding #countrystyleloves @ Deuchar, Queensland, Australia

19.01.2022 I'm so pleased to announce I now have a website - all thanks to a dear friend Ngaire Anne @mumof6jewels and you will also find on the workshop page a video of our winter wreath workshop held in Warwick - created by Ngaire's daughter Tabitha @tabithahynd16 https://www.thelongpaddockflorist.com.au/

19.01.2022 A dried arrangement of local foliage, flowers, grasses and herbs. I think the dainty detail of Queen Anne's Lace may be my favourite. #diredflora

18.01.2022 Setting up some dried flora for the wreath workshop this Saturday, July 11. Next will be the fresh foliage . If you'd like to join in I can still make a place for you :) #wreathmaking #wreathworkshop #naturaldecor #countrystyleloves #gatherandstyle #australianbush #inspiredbynature #warwickqld #sqcountry #southerndowns #granitebelt

18.01.2022 Rochelle and I had a bit of fun yesterday while the real photographer was busy :) Feeling grateful to have one of my wreaths included in Swan Creek Interiors photo shoot yesterday - I wanted something big and fresh, and a bit unruly to match the awesome old shed. I went with three varieties of local wattle foliage. #freshwreath #wattle #bushflora #swancreekinteriors #countrystyleloves #rusticcharm #farmbuildings #photoshoot #warwickqld #southerndowns #australia

16.01.2022 Millie helping me show the size of today's wreath - made from some favourite varieties of bush foliage from the Granite Belt. Smells delicious. #foragedflora #naturalwreath #wreathmaker #australianbush #rosecityfarmhouse #warwickqld #sqcountry #southerndowns #granitebelt

15.01.2022 I've been enjoying a library book with lots of old-style floristry techniques. Today I tried the straw-filled chicken wire sausage to make a wattle swag. Maybe it's from growing up on a farm, or because my mum bought too many Grass Roots magazines when I was a kid ? but when it comes to creativity, I'm always drawn to the earthy, make-do with what you have style. This sausage thingo is a keeper for my tool kit - lots of flexibility and potential. #florastyling #naturalflorastyling #floralswag #foragedflora #floralgarland #farmhousestyle #countrystyle #rusticstyle #rosecityfarmhouse #warwickqld #sqcountry #southerndowns #granitebelt

13.01.2022 I am so thrilled to be have become a member of the Wild About Flora Online Studio. Nadine is an Australian ambassador of the Sustainable Floristry Network with 30 years experience in the industry. This opportunity has only just launched, and I couldn't be happier with the value I have found. The quality of the video tutorials are outstanding, not to mention a sensory delight. Fellow flora creatives if you haven't done so already, do yourself a favour and go check out Wild Flora Studio

12.01.2022 WREATH WORKSHOP Sat July 11 - Join us for a creative afternoon of natural wreathmaking. You choose whatever style of wreath you like. There will be a number of varieties of Australian bush flora available.

06.01.2022 My little nook in the shed. Michael's tools and farm stuff are all around, just out of the shot. I love the warmth of old furniture, and how a chair at a table feels like home. The natural light from the side is awesome for taking photos, dust and all. I've been experimenting with my hay-filled chicken wire sausage thingo to make this arrangement. Some of these flowering natives don't last that well, but they're pretty while they do.

04.01.2022 Those beautiful mugga ironbark flowers. #foragedwreath #muggaironbark #bushflowers
