25.01.2022 With COVID19, the massive Melbourne lockdown and sudden death to our magical events industry, The Style Shed like everything else in our world, has gone into a long deep slumber. waiting for the kiss of life for this beauty to bloom once again. In the meantime, what to do? Pivot, survive and thrive! Being the everything behind Rome At Home, want to share a few thoughts. Firstly I want to say thank you Melbourne for believing in me and giving this a go. ... Today, is one month since this crazy little idea hatched in my brain. It came like a bolt of lightning from nowhere. I say a blessing from above, on one crazy emotionally charged day, last month in August. Thank you to everyone for spreading the word. With a steady stream of boxes on request, rave reviews, awesome socials going on, cool Insta stories and more, I feel so thrilled and wanna shout out the biggest YIPPEE from the treetops!! Because I know people are deriving pleasure and spending time together creating something they can devour. It is this that brings me more pleasure than you'll ever know! Naturally there's the curiosity..."how did she come to this?" Well first and foremost you need to understand WHO I am. Food, style & the art of entertaining, is a very natural part of what makes up the ME. From my many days and years spanning different continents, hosting guests as part of my normal lifestyle, my loved ones and friends religiously stood up after a great time and expressed their gratitude of coming together around my table. Feeling spoilt as they indulged in a sensory feast, of body mind and soul. Nothing better than great conversations, visually pleasing surroundings, and explosive tastes. For those who simply know me as one of Melbourne's premium party planners, owner of The Style Shed, I guess how could you know what I truly love, and what motivates me to do what I do. My cardinal rule for life is quality over quantity! One - Never compromise on quality. Good food is the same as good people. Fill yourself up on them discerningly, as this is our fuel for an all-encompassing healthy life. What goes into one’s body and mind require it to be toxin free. To nourish ourselves and keep healthy we must only choose the best. Two: Be creative and make it a taste sensation. Three: Style. Always make your food and surroundings pretty. After all, we eat with our eyes first. Four: Stay true to who you are. Following my heart with this true desire to create connection through food, and bring the fun, joy and happiness to your table, Rome at Home was born. Especially mine today as my responsible clients have called off their imminent celebrations scheduled for the coming weeks. So one big yoga breath in .....and we face the world, in finding the positivity and lightheartedness amongst it all. We may be taking things a little more seriously, acting responsibly and being more cautious, and that's great.
