11.01.2022 Kreotecs proprietary formulation allow the selected strains of bacteria to be foliar applied to directly inoculate the crop. Once inoculated, the bacteria colonise the plant and are able to fix atmospheric nitrogen and increase the production of the nitrate reductase enzyme, both mechanisms leading to elevated levels of nitrogen available to the plant. The improved nitrogen use efficiency has the dual benefit of increasing crop productivity whilst reducing the amount of nitr...ogen lost into the environment. Growers around the world are able to use the improved nitrogen delivery facilitated by the Kreotec microbes to either compliment the use, or reduce their reliance on applied fertilizer. Kreotec can be used in all crops with either one or two applications subject to the length of the crop cycle. Learn more via: https://bit.ly/thinkbio

08.01.2022 Today we were trialing KREOTEC North East of Esperance today in a Barley Crop. KREOTEC is applied to either, compliment or reduce the reliance on chemical fertilizer, to increase yield. 1. Improve fertilizer Efficiency and Reduction of Nutrient Run off... With the prolonged use of agricultural chemicals and chemical fertilizer, naturally occurring microbe organism in the plant and soil are often destroyed. This lack of specific microbes leads to poor nutrient uptake by the plants and a high loss of the applied fertilizer into the environment. KREOTEC consists of 3 natural occurring microorganisms that improve the solubilisation and uptake of nutrients. This improved nutrient use efficiency of the applied fertilizer can lead to both an increase in productivity in crop yield, in addition to the reduction of applied fertilizer into the environment. 2. Increase Nitrogen Delivery to Plant through Nitrogen Fixation Two of the three C-active Microbes within KREOTEC are capable of fixing atmospheric nitrogen. Through various trials conducted by Thinkbio, this has been quantified as delivering up to 30 kg nitrogen to the crops across the growing season. This delivery of nitrogen by the microbes is a slow, steady supply to the crop as opposed to a nitrogen flush on application of trifixN. This delivery of nitrogen by the microbes is a slow, steady supply to the crop and will continue throughout the crop cycle. In some crops with long life cycles a second application of KREOTEC is recommended. 3. Improvement in Plant Health and Ability to Cope with Stress C-active Microbes also produce an increase in phytohormones leading to an improved root growth, water adsorption, and mineral uptake. These factors combined assist the crops in periods of drought and other stresses. Learn more via https://bit.ly/thinkbio #CropTrials #AgTech #AustralianFarmers #Broadacre

07.01.2022 The best time of the year to be out and about checking all of our trials. Heres a little throwback to 2018 when we were easily able to get out and about to check our Victorian trial.

07.01.2022 What to Look for Post Application of KREOTEC Since KREOTEC is a plant growth promoting inoculant, plant growth promoting effect should be observed in the paddock. As soon as 2 weeks after application the following plant growth indicators maybe observed in KREOTEC applied crop: Improved and increased plant growth (Measured as biomass)... Larger root system Increased waxy cuticle on the leaf surface Decreased wilting due to water stress (Improved turgor pressure) Increased uptake of macro and micronutrients in the leaf, especially nitrogen. (Nitrogen should be measured as nitrate and total nitrogen) Increased chlorophyll (Measured by SPAD meter or green seeker) Increased brix levels Increased yields Effects are best observed during rapid growth. Noticeable effects are less prominent at full maturity or during grain fill. Ultimately, increased yields will be the results of one or several plant growth factors being influenced by KREOTEC microorganisms. Occasionally, a colour change in the crop may be observed as a result of ideal environmental conditions and excellent application. Noticeable effect are better witnessed in developing countries where yield are low and there is a greater room for yield improvement. Learn more: https://bit.ly/thinkbio
