02.06.2022 Renewed outdoor space ready for summer! The deck and pergola were at the end of their life expectancy with rotten decking and structure creating a safety hazard as you can see in the before photos, the customer even warned us when measuring up not to walk on it. The new deck and pergola features a treated pine frame, Merbau decking, stainless steel wire balustrade, Merbau privacy screen, treated pine pergola painted in Woodland Grey and Solar Control Polycarbonate roofing in Silvermist.

26.05.2022 Transformation Tuesday! Some before and after photos of a pergola we recently completed. The customers request was for a covered outdoor area for entertaining along with a protected space to walk from the house to the converted garage. It has transformed the space to be an outdoor room flowing from inside to out and provides protection from the rain and all day sun as the polycarbonate solar control panels are heat and UV reflective

07.05.2022 Another custom built driveway gate with automation on the gate along with two side access pedestrian gates. All our work is custom built on site to suit our clients needs, requirements, measurements and design. Our client will put on the finishing touches with paint on all these gates.... We also offer supply only options as well.

24.04.2022 If your deck is looking a bit tired we can help! This deck and screen was due for a revamp, the structure was is good condition so removed the old decking and relayed with new Spotted Gum decking to match the inside floors along with modification of the step to turn it into a wrap around. Clients were amazed at the difference it has made to their backyard appeal.

22.04.2022 We renewed the curb appeal of this lovely house in keeping with council requirements to maintain the original look with custom made fence panels and gate with like for like replacement.

25.01.2022 Another beautiful front fence, joinery pedestrian gate and automated driveway gate Robert and Aaron just completed. Styled to match the house and be a statement piece completing the look of the property. All our fences and gates are custom/hand made so any style or design is possible, we also do automated gates both sliding and swinging.

25.01.2022 Although a lot of our jobs are treated pine we do get requests for different products and materials. This customer wanted a hardwood gate to replace/replicate their pedestrian access gate and we were more then happy to meet their request. We pride ourselves on our craftsmanship and even though this gate will be painted, in its raw form its equally as beautiful.

24.01.2022 Another job finished in time for Christmas. At Thomsons we love jobs that are different and strive to achieve the clients visions. We were very happy with the finished product and it goes very nicely with the Merbau decking.

22.01.2022 Another job wrapped up, just in time too because the customer just picked up their new puppy! We did the driveway gates 18 months ago and the customer was so pleased with how they turned out that they had us back to do the fence panels and pedestrian gates. This gave them a lot more privacy from the street and also securing the yard for their new four legged family member

22.01.2022 A front fence we rencently completed, picket front fence with pedestrian and automated driveway gates. We put a new retaining wall under the fence, replaced the side fence, a small retaining wall underneath the side fence, concreted the edge of the driveway and also painted both the side fence and front fence. A nice simple design that compliments the house.

21.01.2022 Aaron and Bob have done an incredible job building our outdoor deck and fixing our viewing deck. Were so happy with the workmanship, work ethic, reliability and service, beautiful timber and the quality of the job - it looks spectacular! 21.01.2022 Adding outdoor areas whether its a pergola or deck can create new spaces to entertain all year round. Here is a job we finished this week, new wrap around pergola with twin wall carbolite roofing. It adjoins to the alfresco outdoor dining area to create even more covered space to entertain this Christmas and summer.

20.01.2022 Not your normal deck, we love specialising in different, challenging and custom decks. Robert and Aaron finished stage 2 this week completing the framing and laying of the composite decking, stage 3 will be the stainless steel handrail which is currently being manufactured and drilled for the stainless steel wires. Decking turned out great and a cleaner look with the hidden fixings.

13.01.2022 A massive transformation achieved on our job this week. Two years of council civil works done for the road way and reinforcing the rock work after a boulder fell and took out the old concrete stairs. During that time a scaffold was erected to allow access but now we have installed a grand set of Merbau stairs and handrail to allow safe and easy access to the clients house. The finish result was better then the client had anticipated and they are over the moon to have it finally all completed an done in time for Christmas.

13.01.2022 Another lovely set of custom gates supplied and installed. This customer had specific requests for brass fittings, a letter box, decorative brass centre knobs and specific lock requirements for their electric entrance system. We were more then happy to source it all for them and the finished product turned out great!

The final outcome was something truely unique, composite plastic decking, stainless steel handrail post with stainless wires along with a merbau handrail. Came up a treat!

07.01.2022 A simple but effective carport we just completed. This customer wanted something that fitted the style of the house but also worked with all the different roof angles. We met all expectations and the result speaks for itself, we even had a small section extend to provide protection over the back door. All of what we do is made to measure and hand constructed so you know you’re getting quality and something that fits your needs and space you have.

04.01.2022 Just finished this complete outside transformation. The existing was just an outdoor set of stairs with a landing and now it’s been converted into the perfect outdoor entertaining area with storage underneath from the architecturally inspired mix of timber sizes for the screening. The decks and stairs are done in Blackbutt, the handrail and screening is done in Spotted Gum and the pergola in pre primed Treated Pine which has been painted pre installation. The customer also chose Solar Control Polycarbonate roofing to allow the light but reflect the heat and UV in the hotter months.

04.01.2022 Some before and afters of a job we just finished. This is a drive on deck for parking the clients cars on. We replaced all the old Treated Pine 140X45mm decking with 140x45mm Blackbutt and fixed it with stainless steel hardware to last the test of time as the old galvanised fixings were corroded. We even treated the Blackbutt with timber preserver pre and post laying of the deck which turned out great!

03.01.2022 Robert and Aaron recently completed probably the largest single deck and close to the largest combined job we have done in quite some time, all up it was over 130 square meters! Ive added a photo of how the old joists were... rotten all the way through! We replaced them with the appropriately treated timber to withstand the conditions. The end result was great and totally transformed the house and the customer is now confident to walk on the decks without fear of falling though.

01.01.2022 Despite all the crazy weather Robert and Aaron managed to complete this front fence on time. The customer was over the moon at the end result and turned out better then they had visualised. Will look complete once the customer has the house painters around and gets a coat of paint on the fence and the house.
