25.01.2022 So very sad that something so easily prevented can kill so many people. Living in the first world can make people ambivalent to the seriousness of the condition and the need for vaccination.

23.01.2022 Ti-Tree is currently midway through a major technology upgrade that has involved our telephone system, emails and computers. We have been made aware that some emails have not been reaching their addressee. If you are waiting for a reply to a request for results or a prescription, and have not heard from us within the usual timeframe, please contact us so that we can investigate the request. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working hard to normalize our services ASAP.

20.01.2022 Our first flu vaccine clinic will be on Saturday 13/4 between 9am and 12pm. You can also arrange to have your vaccination at the time of a consultation.

19.01.2022 Ti-Tree Family Doctors has ample supply of flu vaccines for all age groups in stock. You do not need to be a regular patient of Ti-Tree to be able to be vaccinated. To book an appointment for a flu vaccine please call on 9787 8033.

15.01.2022 As an Essential Service, Ti-Tree remains open to care for the health and well being of our patients. Some changes have been implemented; physical distancing in the waiting room, the option of waiting in your car as well as telehealth services for eligible patients. Patients can check in with reception or via the HotDoc App on your phone. We have turned off the check in kiosk in the waiting room. These measures are in place to safeguard the health of our patients and staff. Th...e flu vaccine is available now and we urge everyone to consider having this vaccine. We remain committed to doing everything we can to help combat this pandemic and support the health of our community.

15.01.2022 Ti-Tree Family Doctors is able to provide several different appointments for you during the Coronavirus pandemic. 1. Face 2 Face - the traditional consultation. All patients are screened for symptoms of upper respiratory infections and only accepted for a Face 2 Face consultation if they are symptom free. This part of the clinic is fully cleaned twice daily and physical distancing measures are enforced to minimize the risk of any transmission of infections. 2. Fever Clinic - ...if you have any symptoms of an upper respiratory infection such as sore throat, runny nose, cough or fever, you will be offered an appointment at our Fever Clinic. The Fever Clinic has a separate entrance and dedicated staff wearing full PPE. You will be asked to wait in your car and called when it is your turn to be seen. Any appropriate testing can be done at this clinic. 3. Telephone or video consultation. During the pandemic, it may be more appropriate to provide medical advice via telephone or video rather than attending the clinic in person. This may be appropriate for repeat prescriptions, referrals, discussing results or general medical advice. The doctor may still request that you attend the clinic for a Face 2 Face consultation if it is medically indicated. Appointments can be made online via HotDoc or by calling the clinic.

11.01.2022 Our next flu vaccination clinic will be held on Saturday 4th May from 9am-12pm. Bookings may be made online or by calling us.

11.01.2022 TI-TREE WILL HAVE LIMITED MEDICAL SERVICES AVAILABLE BETWEEN 12-2PM ON THURSDAY 24/5/18. We are having electrical works done at this time and most of the Practice will be without power. It is expected that normal services will resume at 2pm. OUR PHONE SYSTEM AND ONLINE BOOKING SYSTEM WILL NOT BE FUNCTIONING DURING THIS TIME.

11.01.2022 Ti-Tree Family Doctors is making changes to rostering of staff to ensure that we will be able to continue to provide medical services for as long as the COVID-19 pandemic persists locally. The changes are: 1. The staff have been split into two teams for the duration of the pandemic, reducing the risk of Coronavirus affecting the ability of Ti-Tree to remain open. 2. Each staff member will be spending less time physically present at the clinic and more time working off site.... In addition, all patients will be screened by a staff member before entering the clinic at the front door. Our consultation hours HAVE NOT reduced but some services will be affected, particularly because of the need to wear PPE when assessing individuals with upper respiratory symptoms. This has required us to set up a separate entrance, a dedicated consulting room and roster specific staff to manage unwell patients and keep them isolated from other patients and staff at the Practice. The most significant impact will be that Ti-Tree Family Doctors WILL NOT BE OPEN ON PUBLIC HOLIDAYS DURING APRIL. The affected days are Good Friday, Easter Saturday, Easter Sunday, Easter Monday and Anzac Day. Whilst these are major changes to the running of Ti-Tree Family Doctors, we anticipate little disruption to the delivery of day to day healthcare services to our patients. COVID-19 has presented us with unprecedented challenges but we remain committed to providing medical services to the Mt. Eliza community.

10.01.2022 Our new online booking system is now live. Bookings can be made via our website or by downloading HotDoc from your App Store. https://www.hotdoc.com.au/

08.01.2022 It’s not quite business as usual..... The Ti-Tree team demonstrating physical distancing today. We can have no more than 5 patients in the waiting room at any one time. We are doing everything possible to provide the medical care you are accustomed to and also reduce the likelihood of infection as much as possible. Some of these policies are visible such as the masks and ‘scrubs’ that our staff are wearing whilst others are not so visible such as the increased cleaning, wiping down of surfaces and changes to staff rostering. #physicaldistancing #flattenthecurve #frontlinehealthcare

08.01.2022 Ti-Tree Family Doctors is putting in place many policies and procedures to enable us to continue to provide medical care to our patients whilst enabling us to protect our patients and staff from Coronavirus. Some of these strategies include: 1. Availability of telephone and video consultations as long as there is no medical necessity to see the patient face to face. 2. Screening of all patients attending the clinic to ensure that appropriate precautions are in place for the c...onsultation. 3. All staff to wear surgical masks, gloves and ‘surgical scrubs’ to protect the health of our patients. 4. A dedicated ‘fever clinic’ to enable us to see patient who has upper respiratory infection symptoms safely. We have quarantined part of our Practice for this purpose and you will be assessed by a doctor wearing appropriate PPE, to ensure our staff are safe and that our patients can continue to receive the care they have come to expect from our clinic. Our aims are to be able to care for our patients, protect the public and #flattenthecurve. Remember, you can #stayathome and still get the medical care you need. More to follow in the next few days....

05.01.2022 A sensible approach to nutrition, weight loss and healthy eating.

04.01.2022 The new norm.... Inside our ‘Fever Clinic’ at Ti-Tree. This is where we assess anyone with symptoms of a respiratory tract infection; fever, chills, cough, sore throat, runny nose and test for COVID-19 if appropriate.... This area has a dedicated entrance and staff. It is cleaned after each patient. Patients are required to wait in their car and leave immediately after being seen. Having this area separate to the main clinic enables us to treat other patients in the usual consulting rooms more safely.
