19.01.2022 Vastly higher numbers of the Leadbeater Possum have been found to be living in the magnificent Victorian ash forests, than ever expected. Radio National covered industry's request to reassess its critically endangered status. Very limited forest area is able to be rotationally harvested, under stringent regulations. The presence of so many of these little creatures is living proof that careful, attentive management practices by professional ecologists and forest scientists working within industry have excellent outcomes.
