12.01.2022 To all players, parents, officials, sponsors, volunteers, members, supporters and our wider community. After much deliberation, the WDFNL has announced the cancellation of the 2020 Junior Competition. The Timboon Demons Football Netball Club Committee supports this decision and as a result will also be withdrawing our junior girls football team from the WVFFL 2020 competition. Our decision is based on protecting the health and safety of our community, players, coaches, volunt...eers, and officials who should always be number one priority during these uncertain times. With the number of active COVID-19 cases in Victoria increasing, the risk is too high. We would like to acknowledge the dedication and patience of all our Demons family through the ups and downs of trying to start season 2020. As a result of this decision, all club training has been discontinued. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to ensure all our training sessions have not only been COVID compliant, but a fun experience for all of our junior players. As some of you will have seen speculation in the media, we have chosen not to release a statement prior to this announcement. We have done that out of respect for the process suggested by the WDFNL and the other member clubs. We hope our members understand our commitment to doing the right thing by all parties. Looking forward to season 2021. Brendan Hickey President Timboon Demons Football Netball Club
