21.01.2022 Beaudesert Rifle Club and its members have offered to collect all corflutes for every candidate in the Scenic Rim after the 28th March local government elections. This is a fantastic initiative by the Beaudesert Rifle Club and I thank them for getting on board in the post-election cleanup. The Beaudesert Rifle Club is interested in recycling any corflute signs that are no longer useful for signage. The corflute is used at the range to act as a backing for the paper targets f...or their rimfire participants. Many of these are juniors, developing skills for use in later life, as they learn safety, respect for themselves, their club, their sport and their community in addition to learning how to focus their mind and body to achieve success. The signage is painted over so participants have a blank background and they will not promote using personal signage for this purpose in any case. They are proposing to collect any signage for candidates who give written authority to collect and return it to the club. They are more than happy to remove any screws and posts to hold for collection by the relevant parties should they wish to reclaim them. I will contact all candidates seeking their approval on behalf of the Beaudesert Rifle Club and co-ordinate with the candidates and the club for, hopefully, a fruitful outcome. Thank you again to the Beaudesert Rifle Club for a fantastic recycling initiative and getting our mug shots off the streets and roads of our region in a timely manner. I will await your reply of approval. Please note all signs need to be down 2 days after the 28th or fines will be sent out by order of the ECQ.
