25.01.2022 We don’t know what the future holds but we sure can work on grounding ourselves and controlling our present state of mind. Yesterday my energy was off, I had my cranky pants on and was upset by things that I have no control over. Today I’ve had the perfect date day with myself; exercising, meditating, eating, listening to music, tidying the apartment.... Tonight I’m going to cook myself a nice dinner, drink a wine and watch something inspirational on Netflix (suggestions welcomed) Today I removed my triggers and feel 1000 times better for it. Finding that balance now more than ever is so so important. Also it’s Friday so huge bloody yay for that. I’m counting down the days to a mini break to get into my bikini again and get back in the water - it’s been a month since this shot and my last swim and my body is craving the water again. Happiest of Fridays to you all may your weekends be filled with fun, laughter, movement and things that only bring you joy. X

18.01.2022 This year has been disappointing in so many ways Yet I have made it my mission to not disappoint myself. During lockdown I made it my mission to learn to do a pull-up I tried every day and I achieved it.... I decided not to give in to the helplessness I initially felt with my business and just pushed through. I’ve been disappointed by people so I’ve tried to be a better person. I’ve persevered with trying to handstand and I’m starting to make progress. I’ve joined CrossFit and I feel like the weakest most unfit person, yet I book in, I show up and I know that one day the things that feel hard will start to feel easier. It doesn’t matter where you are at in life whether you are a beginner in fitness in business in a relationship - just show up for yourself decide to be better decide not to disappoint yourself and I believe that setting goals and working towards them really helps with mental health. They don’t need to be big goals - maybe it’s running an extra 30 seconds, meditating a minute a day, lifting an extra kilo, achieving a previously un-achievable yoga pose. Write a list of all the things that didn’t disappoint. Pilates and Yoga small group classes are offered in person, on-line via zoom to create that class group vibe. For those wanting more solitude head to YouTube and do a short workout anytime that suits. Barre classes are currently on-line but filmed and to be held again at the stunning @the.mix.bar laneway. 10.01.2022 Hi everyone, Thursday is RUOK day and while we should be asking this question to each other every day this weeks classes are really going to focus on how we are feeling both mentally and physically. This week we are diving deep in breath, into slowing down and letting go of all the crap weighing us down.... This week there is an additional online barre class on Wednesday night to shift negative energy and help you feel more positive.
