25.01.2022 Helping a friend sell this frame set, he wants it gone so its up on Ebay. Your chance to grab a bargain project!... https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/223553461409

24.01.2022 Ive never had a public recommendation before but this is from a customer who isnt on Facebook and asked me to post it.. Thanks Marshal A quick recommendation - worth reading if you love your motorcycles!!!... Long story short, I was looking to buy a classic Ducati and ended up buying a Gilera Saturno, 1990 model. A beautiful little 500cc cafe racer; red and Italian. Shortly afterwards I heard about some bloke up the Sunshine Coast who was a Gilera expert; sounded too good to be true. A a few calls later I finally got a number and decided to check him out. Needless to say, the rumours were spot on; he knows more about Gilera than anyone in the country and simply loves to work on them; but why? Sean was 25 years old and living in Melbourne when he decided to go to Japan with his Japanese partner ; some 20 years later he returned. Whilst living in the The Land of the Rising Sun he sought out numerous jobs and bought his first motorbike; he was hooked. Japan has a love for motorcycles of all shapes and sizes, but during the late 80s and early 90s, the favourite bike of the Japanese was anything Italian. And so it was for Sean, working in and around custom motorcycle shops he learnt his trade with a focus on Ducati and Gilera. Ultimately his learning developed into a passion that has become his livelihood. Eventually returning to Australia, Sean moved to the Sunny Coast and set up TrueGrit Motorcycles which he continues to this day and forever more. My Gilera has never looked so good and run so well in all its life. Twelve months ago I was fortunate to pick up an original Suzuki GSX750e, 1982 model (round headlight). She ran but only just. I gave it to Sean and on my first outing it revved to 11500 RPM before I pulled back; never missing a beat. I have now just purchased a Kawasaki Z1900, 1973 model; Seans the man. Here endth my story. Sunshine Coast is only an hour from Brisbane and is a beautiful ride. Hardworking, clever and completely trustworthy describes Sean in a nutshell. Taking your treasured bike to Sean at TrueGrit MC is worth every minute and every cent. Take it from me, a very appreciative customer. Marshal Shaw

22.01.2022 That’s better, now I have something to lift the SDR200 with. That sexy trellis swingarm has no pickup areas.

20.01.2022 Top end overhaul on Fancois KTM 250 excf. Rather beautiful components on this tiny 4 stroke.

20.01.2022 Heres why the motor didnt want to start.. intake valve on the left mashing its way into the seats. Clean up those exhaust valves, de-coke the head and fit new valves and springs. A leak proof head! :)

19.01.2022 Is there another motorcycle brand which is as sexy?

17.01.2022 Assisting Trevor Fryer this week with a total rebuild of a 1974 Ducati GT750 engine. These things are just amazing! It was a pleasure doing the heads while Trevor shimmed up the transmission and the bevel drive gears. Absolute work of machine art! :)

04.01.2022 Marshals Gilera Saturnos rear brake boiled and blew brake fluid all over the wheel. Here is the state of the caliper! cooked seals, warped pads and even the glue cooked off them! The Gilera/Grimeca unit is very nice tho; light with anodised all pots. It cleans up well

02.01.2022 A Z1000J I finished off when living in Japan

02.01.2022 More on Fancois KTM... Someone had made their own cam adjuster and it was seized in the head! we ordered the correct factory piece but it tried to sabotage us by retracting as soon as the start button was pressed....
