23.01.2022 Useful resource for kids with all the wildfire activity around Australia at the moment https://www.childrens.health.qld.gov.au//natu/storybooks/

21.01.2022 Is this your idea of a great house plan?

20.01.2022 For the science nerds. I have often got papers direct from the scientists. There is a whole movement to remove the paywall for scientific papers. Obviously there are complexities with this but contacting researchers direct can be an avenue that brings you closer to the research.

14.01.2022 The third book of the Wizard of Once series by Cressida Cowell has now been released here in Australia. Maybe an early Christmas present for some tween reading fans.

12.01.2022 When's the last time you went to or borrowed something from the library? Certainly not all libraries are the same

09.01.2022 Are you a multi-book reader? I often am (short attention span is what I credit it to). I am currently reading two books and probably need to add a third with an upcoming book club catch up. Do you read multiple books at once?

07.01.2022 Annabel Crabb has written a Quarterly Essay called "Men at Work: Australia's Parenthood Trap". Annabel is a fabulous writer and excellent observer of parent politics. I am zooming through this one. @annabelcrabb #thesimplepleasuresbookshop #quarterlyessay #parenting #dadstoo #menatwork

07.01.2022 How cool is this idea? https://www.independent.co.uk//netherlands-free-train-nati

04.01.2022 Have you been captivated by a first page of a book or related to a scene that seems as though the author was watching you when they wrote the paragraph? 'The bit in between' by Claire Varley humorously captures a 'public transport' moment that I have experienced in the first few pages. Happy New Year ... #thesimplepleasuresbookshop #readingisfun #bookrecommendation
