21.01.2022 IMPORTANT AUCTION UPDATE!!!! We have now had Offical confirmation that the Auction can go ahead. However, due to insurance purposes, it has recently been brough...t to our attention that any Goods/items that are sold by sellers will not be covered under our insurance policy and they are required to have their own Home and Contents insurance which will cover them incase the purchaser has issues with the items they have bought. If ownership of any goods are transferred to Tungkillo Progress Association (donated) then sellers insurance would not be required and will be covered by the association. We have also received a list of items we can no longer accept or sell at our auction. Please take some time to check the list before bringing banned goods. We truly apologise for any inconvenience and we hope we still see a great turn out on Sunday.

11.01.2022 Twenty Five years ago I used to drive past this home near Mt Pleasant and Tungkillo. The home owner used to sell bunches of flowers for $1. I used to stop and... buy a bunch every time I drove past. I never had anyone to give them to back then cause I was a single fella working on piggeries but I loved the idea of supporting their little beautiful business. So I’d just buy them and give them to whoever I saw next Today I drove past with my daughter and to my delight they are still selling them!!! And after 25 years the price hasn’t risen a cent. So I brought a bunch , left a thank you note and a little tip I think they’ll enjoy To whoever lives in this house thank you for keeping your flower business going. Neutrog don’t suppose we can get some bags of your rose fertiliser that we can give her Gotta try to make sure we get them to keep the price per bunch at $1 for the next 35 years !!!

06.01.2022 From midnight tonight, South Australians will pause and create a 6 day circuit breaker that will enable us to get ahead of the Parafield Cluster. This means al...l non-essential workers must stay home and only leave for groceries and medical supplies. Our decision to go hard and go early is based on the advice of our world class health team. I know the restrictions we have put in place will be challenging for many South Australians, but the alternative is the virus escapes into the wider community forcing an even longer lockdown. I urge people to be kind and respectful to one another during this time. Click through the images to see what's open and what's closed. Thank you for working together with us - we WILL get through this.

04.01.2022 Happy Fathers Day to all Dads!

03.01.2022 PLAYGROUNDS, SKATE PARK TO REOPEN Playgrounds in our district will begin reopening from 4 May in line with advice from SA’s Chief Public Health Officer Nicola S...purrier. We will prioritise the reopening of play spaces that are not linked to other facilities that are still affected by Government closures and restrictions. Before reopening though, we’ll be putting in place cleaning programs for the playgrounds to maximise public health and safety. Signs will also put up to remind users that social distancing measures of 1.5m between people and maximum gatherings of up to 10 people still apply. We ask the community to be patient and please respect any facilities that currently have closed signs in place as these may not yet be ready to be reopened safely. We’ll also reopen the Mannum Skate Park this week. Toilets close to reopened playgrounds will also be reopened during this week, however, it may take us time to prepare these facilities for opening safely. Again, we ask for the community’s patience as we go through this process. Barbecue facilities in our parks and reserves remain closed at this stage in line with the current SA restriction on gatherings to no more than 10 people.

02.01.2022 Merry Christmas, we hope you all have a happy and safe holiday! From the Tungkillo Progress Club Committee
