25.01.2022 Resilience at its best. #TransportWorkers

22.01.2022 No mention of essential transport workers. Aviation workers still left stranded. A budget of hot air and tax cuts to the rich. ... We move Australia and we need a Government who appricates just that. #auspol #Budget2020 #transport

19.01.2022 In just 3 days, two UberEats riders have been tragically killed at work. This brings the total number of food delivery riders who have been killed at work in the last 3 months to five. The gig economy is literally killing workers. Without health and safety rights, insurance and a living wage riders are forced into working quickly rather than safely over long hours to pay their bills and buy groceries.... Platforms like UberEats are getting away with turning a blind eye to the health and safety of their workers and the Federal Government is washing its hands of responsibility and putting it on State governments to take action alone. Sign this joint YWC and Transport Workers Union - TWU petition calling on Christian Porter, Federal Industrial Relations Minister, to enforce fairr and safer working conditions in the gig economy: https://www.megaphone.org.au//enough-is-enough-stop-gig-wo

18.01.2022 If this pandemic has shown us anything - it is that Qantas is one step ahead of other companies when it comes to ripping workers from work. Alan Joyce was the first major company to stand down thousands of workers, now the next step in his plan to line his pockets further is to outsource 2500 Aussie jobs. Here is their story --

15.01.2022 Airline workers were the early heroes of the pandemic and are now being unnecessarily targeted by the Liberal party. The Liberal Party continue to be completely out of touch with the realities facing the community and stood down airline workers. The Liberal Opposition sit in the comfort and safety of their own homes while attacking innocent airline workers that are undertaking vital work through the hotel quarantine program, speaks volumes to their hypocrisy. Hopeless O’Bri...en will be better served calling out his liberal counterparts in Canberra on why they again failed to deliver relief for the struggling airline industry in tonight’s Federal Budget. Innocent workers like the thousands of Dnata workers left out of the JobKeeper scheme or the thousands of Qantas workers sacked by a company who just stole millions from taxpayers continue to demand answers.

14.01.2022 The Federal Government has made some important changes to JobKeeper. Follow the link for a detailed update on the changes that came into play recently. https://twu.asn.au/jobkeeper-changes/ If you have any questions or concerns, contact your branch or if you're not yet a member - now's the time to join your union: https://twu.asn.au/members-sign-up/

08.01.2022 The faces you see below are StarTrack Delegates from across the country. These delegates are just some of the unionists keeping your deliveries arriving during a global pandemic. They deserve more than just a thank you, they deserve better wages and conditions.

08.01.2022 We do not want to see a repeat of the difficulties truck drivers experienced when they entered NSW from Victoria a few months ago after the border shut," Victorian-Tasmanian branch secretary John Berger said.

04.01.2022 Transport workers are the bread and butter of this country. Tag a transport worker and say thanks.

03.01.2022 Aviation workers have been some of the hardest hit during this pandemic - they deserve our applause, not backhanded comments.
