The multidisciplinary PACES (Pre-habilitation, Activity, Cancer, Exercise, Survivorship) Research Group undertake projects across the cancer care journey and through the UC Cancer Wellness Clinic they are decreasing disease recurrence, reducing treatment side effects and improving mental health and overall prognosis. Clinic patient, Felicity, says she has experienced tangible improveme...nts in her physical strength and fitness. "...it has contributed to my own joy of life, which a life threatening illness can bring so sharply into focus, if you let it. I can walk in the world with increased confidence and calmness. All this, through a pretty dire time in my life. It’s pretty amazing I think." Now in its 5th year the ever-popular UC Women's Celebration Breakfast will be raising money to extend and expand the work of the PACES Research Group and support UC Cancer Wellness Clinic patients.
