19.01.2022 We were lucky enough to interview Richie Condie, the owner and chief winemaker of Condie Estate. A small batch wine producer in the Heathcote region of Victoria. We chat his vegan winemaking practices, 'low touch' winemaking and allergens in wine. Heathcote is renowned globally for their Shiraz, and Richie's Condie Estate has taken home the Heathcote Shiraz of the year for his 'Gwen' which we are currently obsessed with and have featured in our Spring Mixed Selection! A full...-bodied red of dark fruit flavors, cherries, and plums. Aged in French Oak barrels for 18 months. This wine goes down very easily for a Shiraz as it just punches dark forest fruit flavors! A lot of our wines at Vegan Wines Australia come from local Victorian regions, so we are going to visit vineyards in Heathcote, King Valley and Mansfield over 3 days. We are going to drink, eat, drive and talk wine with the own...ers and winemakers at the vineyards, and keep you up to date with our journey. And we want you to get involved!
