24.01.2022 As we get older our homelife changes. We move in with our families in new areas , into residential care, and inevitably we pass as do our friends. It can be a lonely and upsetting time , causing fear, sadness and sometimes anger. After working in the community and in residential care spanning 2 decades, Ive seen the shortfall in Mentalhealth Care that is currently offered. Ive also been a family member that felt the guilt of not being able to visit my nanna and grandad as muc...h as id like to due to juggling my own home life and distance. Victoria Fields offers the cognitive connection and companionship we all need and crave in life. This includes: Mental & Intellectual stimulation, Social interaction, Basic Counselling, Attention and Emotional support. I hold my Diploma in Counselling and a Cert in Nursing - Aged Care. I have 17 years working in the Aged care sector including dementia care. I also have referrences. I offer 60-90 minute sessions with aged residents . Talking , socialising , playing games, going for walks . I do not offer personal cares such as showering, meals or outings ect. a home care service would, but cater to the mental health of your loved ones. I visit homes or residential facilities.
