Dr Si Si Zhou (aka Dr Si Si) is taking appointments and cant wait to meet all the people in our community that have made Village Practice such a special place. Si Si was attracted to Village practices genuine to desire for community and connectedness and was inspired by what she saw take shape over the past two years. To Si Si Meaningful Medicine means looking after the pe...rson as a WHOLE. Her hope is to make a positive impact in patients lives by empowering people to take control of their health whilst supporting them along the journey. She believes that fostering a strong connection with the natural environment is integral to good health. This is something which she practices by spending time bushwalking and camping. When shes not outside she picks up her paint brushes to pursue her passion for art. Some of her medical interests are geriatric health, womens health, paediatrics, chronic diseases and preventative health.

21.01.2022 Hey everyone! We are so excited to introduce an amazing new Doctor to the @village_practice family. Dr Bella Sukkar is taking appointments and cant wait to meet you as we have been raving about all our wonderful patients and community @village_practice. Bella was attracted to Village practices reputation for (w)holistic patient centred care. For Bella, meaningful medicine means providing medical care that is based around a patients core beliefs and values. Before complet...ing her medical degree from the University of Sydney, Bella graduated from an arts degree with honours majoring in English Literature. In her spare time, she loves gardening, cooking, playing music, and practicing yoga and meditation. Dr Bella moved to the Illawarra in 2017 and worked at Wollongong Hospital for 3 years before beginning her General Practice training. This included a year as a senior resident medical officer working in paediatrics and obstetrics/gynaecology, and sparked a passion for womens health, childrens health, and pregnancy care. She loves the diversity of general practice, and building long term relationships with a variety of patients. @ Village Practice

21.01.2022 In a bid to consolidate our resources during the busiest times of the day we have decided to temporarily modify our hours to: 8am -5pm, Mon - Fri. Our evening appointments after 5pm have always been very popular and greatly appreciated by our community and as such we will bring back our usual hours at the first opportunity. This is just the next step in a long journey of adapting to these challenging times.... Thank you for your patience and understanding. We love you and stand by you.

13.01.2022 Super excited to announce our next art exhibition and opening night for Holly Eva at Village Practice This is an open community event and all are welcome to come and see these beautiful works. Sat 14th March 4-6pm accompanied by the beautiful sounds of LEO ... Holly Eva is a contemporary expressionist artist known for her intuitive paintings. Holly grew up in Camden when it was a small country town in nsw and at age 10 moved to Avoca Beach on the NSW Central Coast. She spent much of her time at the beach, watching the waves or surfing, and the ocean became Hollys teacher. Struck by its majesty and changing beauty, the ocean taught her anything is possible and she believes it has had a huge influence on her work as an artist. Holly has always been creative and prior to becoming a full-time artist she ran a successful dancing school for several years. Now from her studio at Bulli she paints every day. Holly describes her work in her own words... "As an artist, I get to escape to that space inside of myself where there are no limitations. There is a sense of freedom and connection to self. I find when I paint I can explore and express emotions I would never be able to articulate. My work is intuitive which means that I dont really know what I am going to paint at the start, until I see it within the layers of paint.. I lose myself to my imagination and I am close to soul which expresses exactly how I am feeling in that moment." Holly Eva has held a number of exhibitions across Sydney and is featured on Channel 9s The Block Shop and her artwork has featured on My Kitchen Rules, Selling Houses Australia and in Belle Magazine. Holly is also an award-winning artist in that of coming second at the Thirroul Seaside Festival Art Prize 2018 for her Contemporary Art - 'The Land' and also the Mosman Art Prize Finalist 2017 - 'Circumstances' and in 2015 - 'Forgiven'. Holly Enters the Archibald each year and now being grateful in 2020 she is here in the beautiful Village Practice Woonona East.

11.01.2022 Hi Everyone! We hope this post find you well during these crazy and uncertain times. We want you know that we are thinking of you and working hard to keep serving our community. In an attempt to keep our patients safe we are putting some measures in place for the short term. This will almost certainly change over time so stay tuned.... 1. Please call ahead to the practice if you have a runny nose, cough, fever (hot or cold), sore throat or shortness of breath. Our team will figure the best way to see you. 2. We will stop using our waiting room from today. This means patients will be asked to wait in their car or outside if thats not possible until your doctor is ready to call you in. 3. We have installed an intercom at the front door to let the reception know you are here. Please be understanding when they ask about any symptoms you may have. Whilst these measures may seem extreme, the reality is these are uncertain times and are trying to protect our vulnerable patients and our staff in order to keep our doors open for you.
