15.01.2022 As we enter into another day of vote counting, which to the majority of the world and myself seems trivial with what is currently going on in the world. I just wanted to reach out to all my supporters who have called, message me over the last 48hrs with so much support and I guess this is why I actually decided to run for Division 4. When you see your childhood suburbs and community being mis managed, It made the decision easy to fight and do something and try and make a dif...ference and engage the community to fight for things like :- Balance spending across all 8 suburbs Represent the local traders in Mooloolaba fighting against Paid Parking Development standards to be lifted with increase off street carparks and add community benefits Roads Maintenance schedule Park upgrades with new play ground equipment & amenities Fight for locals on road congestion with State Government Dog off Leash areas improved Community Sports and events Planting of trees and environment protection of our beaches and waterways Small Business support I will be very honest, I have an up hill battle to secure leadership of Division 4, so however the results fall, I hope the community of Division 4 keep fighting for better living and upgrades of our amazing area and demand more from your Council. Thank you to all the voters, coming out over the past 2 weeks and supporting a local voice to be heard and seen in Division 4. Jo Jones my campaign manager and my brother Troy, I am so grateful for the hours and efforts you committed to this passion project. My Volunteers have been amazing and I am forever in debt to you all. My partner Debra Turner & family, I can’t thank you all enough for the love and support. Today @ 5pm I am sure we will know who will be representing your community for the next 4 years. Stay safe Todd Forrest

15.01.2022 Elections 2020. I have had a number of strong policies in my campaign that i am really passionate about. Since December i have promoted "Stop Paid parking in Mooloolaba" and "more community consultation" and "balance in our spending across all 8 suburbs in the division. One policy i have been super committed to is "Working with Small Business." When voting over the next 5 days, please think about what the next 12-18 months will look like in this current economy, especiall...y in division 4. We have well over 2500 small businesses (cafes, gyms, restaurants, builders, retail shops, manufacturing, the list is endless) between Warana-Maroochydore, who today can't open, or just laid off 20 casuals, wont be able to pay rent to landlords plus they will have several other bills that can't be paid. Please Vote someone with experience and knowledge with 25 years of small business background to work along side these owners, the back bone of the Sunshine Coast and make up a massive part of our industry. Vote a proven leader, who will get there hands dirty for our community for survival. Look @ your candidates wisely and VOTE smart VOTE 1 Forrest for division 4. Please Vote 1 Forrest & 2 Porter as per the image below. See more

14.01.2022 This dismal project was in my pre election policy's and I knew the community would object to the current design. Please help and lets deliver a better outcome for our community. #peoplepower

11.01.2022 I have updated the local cafes/restaurants in Division 4 who are trying to stay open and keep locals in a job. Please support if possible. I want to make myself very clear, please only use these local businesses as TAKE AWAY only and limit your time out and about and please limit to one person for collection. I will add more soon. 08.01.2022 Scrolled past this earlier. Please share to those who need work.

07.01.2022 That special place you come and clear your mind and hope that everything and everyone will be alright.

04.01.2022 Stay Safe people.

04.01.2022 Am I the only one disappointed and annoyed with the big supermarkets with increasing prices on general every day items. Diesel has never been cheaper, so transport cost should of dropped and I am sure turnover has increased by at least 30 %. We need to make sure when life returns to normal, we encourage our community to shop local with local owners as much as possible. I’m sure these big stores will just offer specials and plastic toys to reel us all back. We had fuel watch, maybe we need to introduce shop watch too.

04.01.2022 I am starting a list of our cafes and restaurants that are offering "Take away" options in Division 4. I will update and keep adding to this list or msg me if your business is open for this option. Please support our locals if you can. Phone numbers below or jump on Facebook. More to come. 03.01.2022 Thank you to the amazing crew in Buddina. Take aways only & the best view in Division 4.

03.01.2022 I have had so many phone calls from local small business owners all sharing the same pain. Its not the pain of paying rent, stock losses and low or no income, but the pain of letting go or not being able to pay or keep local staff employed. The guilt they are feeling is unreal and I really feel that it just goes to show how amazing our small business owners are here on the Sunshine Coast. I think we have taken it for granted how valuable this industry is to this area. The jobs these businesses create and the economy they provide locally. It doesn't matter if the staff have been with you 5 minutes or 5 years, generally most owners don't want to let down people. So please share a thought of the owners and the constant conversation they are having with themselves whilst this pandemic is in place. Stay safe please.

03.01.2022 Reminder early voting open until 9pm tonight & tomorrow. 64 Aerodrome Rd. Maroochydore & Home Central on Kawana Way, Birtinya

03.01.2022 This will be my last post for this chapter for now. Thank you for all the love and support and all the amazing new people I met along the way on this 6 month campaign. We achieved change in Division 4 and now it’s up to you the residents to keep them honest, transparent and true to his promises. Congratulations to Joe Natoli and his team and to all the other candidates. Take care and hope to see you all in my next chapter. Few images from where it started in Buddina 1981 and through my campaign.

02.01.2022 Great work from our Chamber.

01.01.2022 Today is my last Throwback Thursday post. I thought I would do a collection of all my images I used for this weekly segment. I have been so blessed to have spent 43 years living, working, raising children, participating in sport like sailing in our rivers and ocean, playing & coaching soccer for Kawana and playing beach volleyball on our awesome beaches. I have lived in every suburb of Division 4 and you will not find a better representation of Division 4. Someone that will work with the community and make sure we are all heard through your local voice. So thanks for the ride down memory lane. (Some Images courtesy of Donna Cannon)

01.01.2022 I have been out today (keeping my distance) talking with some local owners about there business and the changes they will need to make to survive. One Mooloolaba cafe only doing takeaways will increase the range of groceries and sell to locals to help with turnover to keep staff employed. So sad what is happening out in our town.
