22.01.2022 Launching our new look website today. Take a look and feel free to give us any feedback www.walkleyfieldsalpacas.com.au. We have incorporated video to inspect and show animals/progeny and also starting to populate breeding values for our stud animals which will give real data on what traits males/females are pre-potent for.

17.01.2022 A little baby girl who contracted a serious infection on her second day of life. Her white blood cell count went to zero and the Vet said she probably wouldnt make it. She couldnt stand and we had to put her on a drip and heavy antibiotics.....We gave her a blood transfusion from her mother (you can see the bandages). The whole time her Mum would not leave her side. And who doesnt believe in miracles.....in the morning she stood up by herself and had a drink from Mum. Shes now 4 weeks old and putting on weight every day :-)

10.01.2022 Unfortunately, there was a mix-up with fleeces at the Australian Alpaca Spectacular that affected Walkley Field Jedi Warrior and Forestglen Illuminate both entered by Walkley Fields, both Dark Fawn, but in different age groups. When we received the fleeces back we found that they were not in their correct bags and immediately highlighted this to the convenors. After some investigation it was concluded they were inadvertently switched during the delivery process and subseque...ntly judged in the incorrect classes. Disappointingly, as a result of this, both Walkley Field Jedi Warrior and Forestglen Illuminates fleeces have been withdrawn from the competition. Link to the amended results below.... https://tinyurl.com/yaadgycd EP Cambridge Connoisseur has now been awarded Supreme Fleece at the Australian Alpaca Spectacular. Many congratulations to EP Cambridge and Coolawarra for winning both the Halter and Fleece Supreme Championship.
