15.01.2022 Save The Bungabee Forest The Bungabee Forest between Lismore, Casino and Kyogle in NSW is under threat of being logged this year. A call out for artists and photographers was made to collaborate together in creating an online digital children’s book about a squirrel glider named Acacia. The story will be aimed at promoting and raising awareness, as well as educating young ones about how they can advocate for environmental issues in Australia. 09.01.2022 Hi everyone I know it’s been a bit quieter than usual on my page. I have been navigating through a few tough months of event cancellations and uncertainty, and as a result I have taken up a part time position on a local fruit farm (which I am loving by the way!). Due to this amazing opportunity, my time for fulfilling orders has changed, and any purchases made will be sent on Fridays only for a little while. I appreciate this may be inconvenient for some people but I will ...do my very best for you all. I am still continuing to create and my website is still up and running with all of my plantable cards, prints and tees available. I absolutely have so much gratitude for everyone who has supported me through your generous purchases, sharing posts and sending me beautiful messages of appreciation. 06.01.2022 *Small but exciting announcement* After years of hauling myself and my entire Wandering Artist store out to local markets, waking up before the sun, spending hours setting up until I was satisfied with the earthy aesthetics of my stall and then spending the days meeting, greeting and connecting with all the local rays of sunshine from Bawley Point NSW to Eumundi in QLD, I am excited to announce my retirement from the market life. Why am I excited? Well the reason behind this... shift for the Wandering Artist is due to the rapidly growing number of stockists who have been so wonderfully eager to have my cards and prints in their stores. With the increase of these numbers comes a new direction for the business, and a decision to say farewell to the market life. In saying that, I am not, at this stage, saying goodbye to some of the larger events that we have attended and will hopefully be able to attend once again in the future such as Woodford Folk Festival and other specialty events. 04.01.2022 As a kid my favourite books were The Magic Faraway Tree series - I still have them and I still read them. I can remember as far back as five years old having vivid and lucid dreams, my imagination has always been filled with magic and worlds that are beyond this one. I wanted to learn to draw from a young age because I wanted to interpret what I could see in my mind but I never had the confidence, so I kept my drawings to myself mostly. I finally decided at 28 to go to art school, and now I am grateful that I can share my imagination with you Thank you to everyone who has and continues to support my work, I couldn’t imagine my life without art
