17.01.2022 This statement below is perhaps one of the clearest indictments on much of our Christian church culture that I have ever seen. Lord, please revive us and call u...s again to seek your face and reach a lost world for you. "Members of a dying church aren’t willing to go into the community to reach and minister to people. They aren’t willing to invite their unchurched friends and relatives. They aren’t willing to expend the funds necessary for a vibrant outreach. They just want it to happen. Without prayer. Without sacrifice. Without hard work. But here’s the bigger issue. Even if the church began to grow on its own, the members of that dying church would only accept the growth if the new members were like them and if the church would continue to do church the way they wanted it. That reality, when it is all said and done, is likely at the heart of the issue. Members of a dying church really don’t want growth unless that growth meets their preferences and allows them to remain comfortable."

17.01.2022 There are times when particular people, people who have been diminished, those who are overlooked by society, need to be lifted up and reminded that their life matters. So when we say Black Lives Matter it does not diminish the value of any other lives. We do not just hold up black lives but those who are homeless, those with mental health problems., those who are elderly, those with a disability... We say Black Lives Matter because Jesus taught us to lift up the vulnerable. Jesus said the Syrophoenician Lives Matter, Samaritan Lives Matter, Centurion Lives Matter and Tax Collector Lives Matter. When we say Black Lives Matter we are not making a political statement we are simply stating a fact: Black Lives Matter to God and they matter to us. Thank you Rick!

11.01.2022 The Morrison Liberal Government has announced a $500 million boost to Australia’s aid budget, to help nations in the Pacific region roll out access to a COVID v...accine over the next three years. The funding boost was welcomed by Micah Australia CEO Rev. Tim Costello. He called it, a historic act of leadership that will promote security, stability and prosperity in our immediate region. The announcement comes after another funding boost for the region’s COVID measures was previously announced, although those funds were made possible through cuts to other areas of Australia’s aid budget. UnitingWorld’s partners in the Asia-Pacific region have noted that COVID-19 has had a profound effect on people’s livelihoods, as places like Bali have seen a drastic drop in tourism. People here are more worried about having no food and no jobs than about the pandemic, Dr Murthy, UnitingWorld’s Southeast Asia Regional Coordinator said. 01.01.2022 NAIDOC Week 2020, "Always Was, Always Will Be", recognises that First Nations Peoples have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. Starting... TODAY, NAIDOC Week 2020 invites all Australians to see, hear and learn about the 65,000+ year history of this country. We are reminded that this country was criss-crossed by generations of brilliant nations. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples were Australia’s first explorers, first navigators, first engineers, first farmers, first botanists, first scientists, first diplomats, first astronomers and first artists. Through ingenious land management systems like fire stick farming, First Nations Peoples transformed the harshest continent into a land of bounty.
