18.01.2022 This Saturday the club had an opportunity to present one of our annual awards and two very special honours. Kas Dodgson was awarded the 'Neville Ridley, Club Person of The Year' for her work on the committee, game days, gear ordering and multiple other essential tasks. Kas is incredibly hard working and has implemented a number of processes to make the workings of the club work smoother and be more effective not only for this year but well into the future.... This year also saw two 'Honorary Memberships' awarded. Club President, Rod Henderson and Football Manager, Darren Rockley, are the latest additions to an esteemed list of people to have this honour. Their hard work and contributions, over many years, has seen the club adopt multiple new practices to ensure the Bears can operate in an ever more demanding NPL environment. Mark Lathan awarded Darren with his award and spoke of the impact upon the senior club environment Darren has had - on both the coaching and playing side. Rod was presented by Darren Lewsam who highlighted the practices and processes Rod has brought to the club while recognising the many hours spent at the ground on game days over the years. Congratulations to Rod, Darren and Kas on your awards and thank you for your dedication and service. With SAP and Youth awards now completed the club will be announcing the senior award recipients this week. The club also sincerely thanks the many people who roll their sleeves up, week in week out, to make it all work - in particular in such a trying year. Bravo all!
