17.01.2022 With 2021 well underway, we’re focusing on some achievable sustainability goals. From saying no more often to single use plastic to getting a compost bin, some small wins can have a BIG impact. What are some of your sustainability goals? We’re looking at more ways to limit the amount of plastic coming in to and out of our business. It’s estimated that every minute 1 garbage truck of plastic is emptied into our oceans (and this ends up breaking down into tiny pieces in our d...rinking water and ingested by marine life + us ). We want to combat some of these scary stats which is why: - All film used for Wilderbean pasta is certified home compostable and biodegradable - The tape we use on our cartons is water-activated paper tape and recyclable - Our packaging boxes are 100% post consumer recycled and printed using vegetable inks. They’re also recyclable.Some goals for 2021 include sourcing home compostable and biodegradable pallet wrapping for freight and leaving the beach a little better than we found it each time! That means taking a handful (or huge bag full) of plastic, whenever we leave. Because trash is for tossers.#wilderbean #lesswaste #plasticfree

Not only do Mt Zero make delicious olive oil using locally grown olives from the base of the Grampians, they also use biodynamic farming techniques as well as energy from off-grid wind and solar generators. It’s no surprise we’ve been fans for a while!
