18.01.2022 Last meeting of the Morayfield Lioness Club today. We had a nice lunch afterwards with the Lions who bought the main course and we bought dessert .



17.01.2022 We had an informal handover and awards BBQ today at our Den. We celebrated with the Morayfield Lioness Club our achievements through out the year ( short as it was). It was great to catch up and see each other face to face. Congratulations to Lion David for being awarded the prestigious Melvin Jones Award and to Lions Sue and Fred for being elected as our club's Lion of the Year.

15.01.2022 Lions fundraise while serving the community refreshments - Situated on an 18-hectare reserve at Burpengary,the Caboolture Region Environment Education Centre ...(CREEC) supports environmental education and recreation for the community. Backing onto the Burpengary River, CREEC offers nature walk trails, a community nursery, a huge all abilities playground and of course the Warba Warba café. Between 1 September 2019 -1 August 2020 their sales were $15,568 = 907 large coffee, 529 small coffee, 292 ice coffee , 52 hot Choc 531 cheese toasties. Morayfield club donated to various charities - $13,500 - Cerebral Palsy League, Lions Assistance Dogs & YJet. Q3 please consider holding a soclal at Warba Warba cafe. They can place you indoors in a room or undercover. Also please support this club when they again hold a movie in the park. 12.01.2022 Over the last year and a bit our club has served these global causes in our own small way to make the world and community we live in a better place to live by * provision of funds to support childhood cancer research * making and donating wooden toys to local children in hospital. * participating in Lions Australia Lap the Map to raise diabetes awareness... * contributing over $5000 to provide fully installed water tanks to bushfire ravaged properties in NSW * using compostable cups and recyclable plastics at our Warba Warba Cafe at CREEC. * purchasing and installing the kitchen at the Caboolture Community Action Centre * delivering food weekly to needy, aged community members through Burpengary Meals on Wheels * providing vision support by operating our Recycle For Sight Centre at Caboolture. * encouraging our local youth through participating in the national the Youth of the Year competition . * providing funds to support the leasing of vehicles for the Braking the Cycle enabling local young people to complete their driving licence requirements. We are proud to be Lions!

11.01.2022 Congratulations to Lion Jeff Harris who was recently presented with a Life Membership. His daughter Lesley was there to witness the presentation and spoke warmly of her father’s dedication to Lions.

10.01.2022 Throughout the year our toymaker Bob works tirelessly at building our very popular range of wooden trucks, trains and cars. Sales are available throughout the year direct from Bob ( 0425808746) or at our famous toy and cake sale at the end of the year at the Morayfield Shopping Centre.

04.01.2022 It’s great to be out and about. A few of our members provided the BBQ for the Beecham Motors special event.

03.01.2022 At our business meeting tonight, President Fred presented a cheque for $1000 to Sgt Mc Donald from the Caboolture PCYC to assist them with their many community programs. Fred also presented a cheque for $1000 to support the RUBY ( Rise Up and Be Yourself) domestic violence support program. It is a program our club is proud to have supported over several years.
