02.01.2022 SpaceX space capsule lands safely in the Gulf of Mexico. Astronaut crew equipped with space suits welded on PFAFF! SpaceX Demonstration Mission 2 (or SpX-DM2 fo...r short) is the first manned mission of the US spacecraft Crew Dragon. In late May 2020, she brought the two NASA astronauts Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken to the International Space Station. After two months in space, NASA has safely returned the ISS expedition crew to Earth. With the successful landing, the private company SpaceX is once again making space history. As Hurley and Behnken left the capsule beaming after landing in the Gulf of Mexico, PFAFF INDUSTRIAL and the DAP AMERICA subsidiary in Atlanta shared in their enthusiasm. The new space suits for SpaceX were manufactured on PFAFF 8310 ultrasonic machines. The functional seams of the suits successfully fulfilled the strength and tightness properties required for working in outer space under extreme conditions. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Raumkapsel der SpaceX-Mission landet sicher im Golf von Mexiko. Astronauten-Crew mit Raumfahrt-Anzügen, geschweißt auf PFAFF, ausgestattet. Die SpaceX Demonstration Mission 2, kurz SpX-DM2, ist die erste bemannte Mission des US-amerikanischen Raumschiffs Crew Dragon. Sie brachte Ende Mai 2020 die zwei NASA-Astronauten Doug Hurley und Bob Behnken der ISS-Expedition zur Internationalen Raumstation. Nach zwei Monaten im All hat die NASA die Crew sicher und erfolgreich zur Erde zurückgebracht. Mit der geglückten Landung schreibt das private Unternehmen SpaceX erneut Raumfahrtgeschichte. Als Hurley und Behnken nach der Wasserlandung im Golf von Mexiko strahlend die Kapsel verließen, war man bei PFAFF INDUSTRIAL und bei der US-Vertretung DAP AMERICA in Atlanta auch ein bisschen stolz. Schließlich wurden die neuen Raumanzüge von Space X auf PFAFF Ultraschall-Maschinen PFAFF 8310 gefertigt. Die Nähte des Anzuges haben auch bei Arbeiten im Außenbereich unter extremen Bedingungen Ihre Funktionen (Festigkeit und Dichtheit) erfolgreich erfüllt.
