23.01.2022 Yack Ingredients, Papa Bear catering, Two Pot Brewing Co and Backwoods Distillery Co are teaming up and will be there. ‘The beer and rye you drink has helped raise the pork you eat cooked by the clever big fella you should meet!’ Come try some Yack Ingredients pork that has been raised free range with added goodness of Two Pot and Backwoods Distillery Co. barley mash, then cooked by Matt in his Papa Bear Smoker - washed down with a Two Pot beer or some homemade lemonade (with a cheeky splash of Yack Creek Vodka or Gin if you fancy!) or maybe a tipple of Backwoods Rye!

21.01.2022 The big kids playing cubby houses with their new bedding this morning. After 76ml of rain in the past 2 days they are super happy with a new dry bed. Farmhand Matt made me the moveable shelters, a strong metal frame and old roller door, great to plonk around the paddock with the tractor. Once these guys are done here we move them to a new spot and I scoop up the dirty bedding for the compost heap - all broken down and fertilised.

20.01.2022 Oh so lovely to have the sunshine back and the extra bonus of being able to see snow on Mt Big Ben. Now for the sweet smell of freshly mown lawn before the big cock and his bride are lost in the long grass.

20.01.2022 In dog years these two are 14. If they were humans they would be those kids that are sweet as pie around adults, turn your back and they have done donuts through your veggie patch, graffitied your house and stole your grog stash!!! They are besties - opposites attract! Winny is supposed to be a fancy Westie lady and Bo supposed to be 24/7 occupied with guarding lambs and chooks (he does at night). So naughty but so happy - to be 14 again!!

17.01.2022 Been out in the paddock all day having fun - so the little nutters have chosen dinner on the run whilst Mum lines up at the supermarket!

15.01.2022 Come cheer us up after the recent announcement that our beloved Folk Festival next weekend has been cancelled due to COVID-19. We are set up and ready to serve from 3pm till 8.30 today at Wodonga Junction Square for the North East Food and Wine Festival - our last festival for the foreseeable future Lots of local Yack Goodness to try.

14.01.2022 Rhubarb pie, apple and rhubarb pie, rhubarb cake, rhubarb and apple crumble, rhubarb and white chocolate muffins, spiced rhubarb strudel..... straight up frozen rhubarb...... need some more suggestions please to combat this years crop!!!

13.01.2022 Lots of time wasting/nature watching on this scheduled housework/blitz day (least favourite day)!! Our little visitor has been hanging out by the pool in the weeping cherry tree since 6am. Not phased by dogs, cat, kids or my camera. Such beautiful creatures.

06.01.2022 The Baz tree !!! Planted 40 trees today but this was the only Turkish Oak and Baz (over for a weekend sleepover) was keen to help me out - the Baz tree ! May you live long enough to enjoy the shade of this beauty, beautiful boy.
