21.01.2022 Myth Busting Time!! Is running bad for my knees? With questions like these, there are always different factors and individual circumstances to consider.... However as a general statement, research shows us that this common belief is false! Recreational runners in general tend to have healthier knees than those who don’t run, and that loads, such as running, actually assist in providing nutrients to joints. If you are experiencing knee pain and it is interfering with your activities, then there may be some specific strategies that you can implement, or professionals that can work with you to get you back to the things you love. For everyone else however, don’t avoid running because you are worried that it will damage your knees!

20.01.2022 This week (27th Jul - 2nd Aug) is National Pain Week, dedicated to championing the needs of the many Australians living with chronic pain. Our director Jase was very proud earlier this year to be involved in the Pain Revolution rural outreach tour. Check out the video below to see what it was all about.... #NPW2020 #painrevolution #PR2020 #yourmovehealth

17.01.2022 Even in the midst of self-isolation/quarantine, it’s important to keep active in order to boost our immune system. While avoiding gyms and public places with lots of people may be prudent, especially for those most vulnerable, that does not mean you need to stop exercising! If you are seeking some advice around exercise ideas at home, we can help set you up with a plan that can keep you moving during a quarantine!... And please remember, if you have cold/flu symptoms or have been around anyone diagnosed, please don’t head to the gym, even if you feel up to it. We need to be doing our best to protect each other during these times!

17.01.2022 Video Appointments Now Available! During this really challenging period of isolation, we are determined to support you to stay active and connected! Regular exercise at home has never been more important, however it can be tough to know what to do, and even tougher to stick to it!... Here Jase chats about some of the new support packages we have on offer, to keep you moving at home. If you would like any support at all, don’t hesitate to get in contact via Facebook, phone (5904 6239) or email [email protected]

12.01.2022 **COVID-19 ("Corona Virus") Policy Information** Your Move Health prioritises the safety of our staff, clients and the wider community. As such we have implemented our COVID-19 Policy in accordance with recommendations from the Department of Health, and these will be reviewed and updated as new information is available.... Key Information: - if you have any cold/flu like symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat) please do not attend the clinic until your symptoms have resolved. You will not be charged cancellation fees. - if you have returned from overseas in the past 14 days, or have been in contact with a confirmed case of Corona Virus, please do not attend. Instead, stay at home and call your GP for advice - for those who are well enough to attend, we will still be running group and 1:1 sessions at this stage, with additional hygiene measures in place. Please bring your own towel, drink bottle and pen to exercise sessions. - if you are self-isolating, it is important to keep yourself active at home. If you would like assistance with this, we can set you up with some home exercise ideas that you can do until you are ready to return. - we are currently investigating 'telehealth' consult options, so that you can have a consultation with one of our Exercise Physiologists online without having to attend the clinic. - please be patient with us and others in the community during this time. It is important that we work together to slow the spread of COVID-19, to help protect the most vulnerable members of the community. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to call us on 03 5904 6239 to discuss further. Stay safe, healthy & active! - The Your Move Health Team
