25.01.2022 Due to a family medical emergency we are unavailable until Wednesday the 20th of January.

22.01.2022 The issue with Quickbooks self employed incorrectly reporting GST has now been fixed. However the effected entries need to be manually reversed

20.01.2022 A recent w10 update could crash your machine if you run chkdsk on a solid state drive. Most people are unaware that there is rarely a need to run this on an SSD. If it's something you do, stop it. You are vastly shortening the life of your drive.

19.01.2022 Your antivirus wont save you if its not configured correctly. Most people install an antivirus using its default settings, but not all antivirus are created equal. Generally an antivirus is by default set to a "Balanced" sort of functionality so as not to slow your machine down too much. One thing you really want to make sure is active is that your incoming mail attachments are scanned, INCLUDING zip/compressed files. Many antivirus do not scan compressed file attachments because it may slow your email program down too much for your liking. Be safe and check those settings.

16.01.2022 Just because its on the internet does not make it true. Especially facebook. Here is a link for some fun examples. https://meemawyaya.blogspot.com//tree-octopi-velcro-farmin

16.01.2022 If you use office 365 with Microsoft outlook for your email, you may find all the text from your emails missing. Microsoft put out an update with a massive bug in it. There is currently no fix as such but there is a work around. You will need to roll back to a previous version. Here is how to do it.. 1. if outlook is running, close it. 2. Open a command prompt by clicking on the Start Menu and typing CMD. When the 'Command Prompt' result appears, click on it. 3. In the comman...d prompt type cd "C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ClickToRun" and press enter. You will now be in the ClickToRun folder. 4. Type officec2rclient.exe /update user updatetoversion=16.0.13901.20462 and press enter. Microsoft Office will now download the specified version of Microsoft Office and roll back to that previous version. Please be patient as this may take a few minutes or longer, depending on your computer and Internet connection speed.

16.01.2022 Please be careul when clicking on links sent via facebook messenger. Many people are clicking without thinking at the moment and instantly giving away access to their facebook profiles. the attachment will then forward on to everyone else in your friends list. Remeber your FB page has lots of sensitive personal information about you that can be sold on the dark web and used to impersonate you in real life.

14.01.2022 Alert to anyone using Quickbooks. I have just found out that QB self employed is currently seemingly randomly incorrectly calculating GST components. QB support would not tell me if QB online is effected or how long this has been a problem for. There is currently no solution.

10.01.2022 Reminder to anyone in a flood effected area. If your computer was sitting in a flood effected room DO Not turn it on without taking the side panel off and checking for moisture. Ideally clean out any dust witha paintbrush and vacuum cleaner. A thin layer of dust can hold enough moisture to short out your motherboard. Your hard drive stores all of your data and it is attached to the motherboard.

05.01.2022 FACT- Charlie Chaplin lived long enough to watch star wars.

02.01.2022 Does your mobile phone battery go flat too fast? Here are some things to look out for. Apps Apps that run in the background waiting for you to use them can drain your battery real quick. Firstly if you don't use certain apps uninstall them. if you don't know what they do, google them. ... 4 Apps that put a huge drain on your battery are Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Google Maps. If for some reason you can't uninstall them the next best option is to disable them. Wifi, Mobile data, GPS, Bluetooth, and Hot Spot If you don't need them running, turn them off. If you have internet at home use wifi instead of mobile data. Wifi uses much less power than mobile data. You don't need GPS to find your kitchen. turn it off and leave it off until its actually needed. If you are not using your Bluetooth turn it off. Not only is it using your battery, it is also a security risk if you are roaming around in public and the security settings on it are still set to factory default. Personally I don't know anyone who changes the security settings on their Bluetooth. If you are someone that uses their phone as a Hotspot for your computer make sure you turn it off when your are not using it. Its a big power drain and a security risk in public. Energy saving mode Most Android phones have an energy saving mode. turn it on to reduce the functionality of your phone to a minimum. If you don't have this mode or cant find it, go to play store and search for Battery saver. There are many options to choose from, free and paid for.
