25.01.2022 We have been discussing healthy eating and hygiene practices. The children are able to do a variety of art activities as well as finding stories that have food topics.

25.01.2022 I had 2 palms cut down to make more lawn space. I haven't had the stumps removed yet as the children are enjoying the obstacle course.

24.01.2022 Last year at the beginning of Spring, the children created a Fairy garden in a section of the garden. This year the children have potted some cuttings and are helping to create and care for a pallet garden.

21.01.2022 Leading up to Australia Day, the topics we looked at were:- Australia Geographically, traditional Australia, multicultural, aboriginal art, Australian animals. After Australia Day we talked about what the children did that was special on Australia Day. Only Holly seems to have done something special, her family went to Bunnings.

21.01.2022 The participated in activities relating to Anzac Day to help give them an understanding of the upcoming event.

21.01.2022 The children have been enjoying our wild animal topic. They have been on many Safari's looking for animals and combining their explorations with singing and dancing, meeting people in the community, visits to the library and now have a better understanding that wild animals can be big or small and can even live in your own back yard.

19.01.2022 Unable to make an obstacle course in the yard because of the weather, the children were able to make one in the covered area which worked just as well. They started with a tent and tunnel and built into it from both sides.

17.01.2022 St Patricks day number matching activity. There was gold and sapphires in our pot of gold.

16.01.2022 Zelda’s daycare has closed down. The last 5 years has been lots of fun with all the little people.

14.01.2022 Recently we have been looking at creatures that live in the Oceans, this topic began when there had been sightings of Whales going past the coast. This lead onto us talking about other big creatures that used to roam the Earth, Dinosaurs. This has now extended into looking at similarities of today's wild animals to the Dinosaurs. Giraffes have long necks and eat the leaves off tall trees, and how much do lizards look like the Dinosaurs?

13.01.2022 On a recent visit to the library, l read a story to the children about the role animals have on a farm. We followed that up with making our own farm.

04.01.2022 We have been having lots of interesting discussions about Dinosaurs. Information was sort from the internet to find out how big some were, where they lived and what they ate. We made a cave for the caveman to live in and did lots if art work that followed on from our discussions about their environment. We Looked through the garden for plants and moss that were similar to what the Dinosaurs ate and used them in the artwork.

04.01.2022 Our Christmas decorations began with making a Nativity scene. My granddaughter came to visit and finished the scene.

04.01.2022 Leading up to Christmas the children did a lot of painting, drawing and made ornaments. The were gathered together the Tuesday before Xmas and delivered to a local retirement village.

03.01.2022 September has been a busy month working on our Spring project. Some of our activities are ongoing as the garden always needs attention and the chickens reap the rewards of our weeding.
