24.01.2022 Thank you Steve And crew from Toolijooa for calling us about this beautiful very sick koala in need of help . by steve

22.01.2022 Due to Covid this year we could not do our usual wildlife fundraiser, so this year a little something different with the aim being the same and that's raising funds for sick and injured wildlife that are in need of rehabilitation. Every year our Australian Native wildlife come into care for many reasons such as motor vehicle impacts, dog attacks, cat attacks, loss of habitat-tree felling etc and it is the wildlife organisations like Sydney Wildlife Rescue and the Shoalhaven B...at Clinic who rescue, care and rehabilitate the wildlife so a successful release can be obtained. As always, the aim of a wildlife organisation is to get the animal back out into the wild as soon as possible. Both organisations are completely volunteer based with carers being on call 24/7. It's a tireless and very rewarding job and the members who do this are both very caring and compassionate and love sharing their passion with the general public. All money raised at this event will go to both organisations Sydney Wildlife Rescue-South West Branch & Shoalhaven Bat Clinic and go DIRECTLY to carers so funds can be used straight away. Thanking everyone who comes and supports this worthy and very needed cause. https://fb.me/e/1GvYO4Mas

12.01.2022 Right, so this post was NOT i repeat was NOT a name and shame post AT ALL. We did not name anyone to shame them. This was an awareness post about the harm cats do to our wildlife and yes there are wild dogs and wild cats and wild pigs and other native wildlife that prey on these guys BUT this was a cat attack and the topic was THIS IS ONE OF MANY REASONS WHY CATS SHOULD BE INDOORS. Wild dogs and cats are a result of lost pets that breed out in the wild and hunt and kill to su...rvive and we get this also. They are also partially because of neglecting owners. There are some really responsible owners out there and we applaud you all for doing your bit to keep your furbabies safe as well as our wildlife. Whether its a pet you have raised or a pet you have adopted or been given, the hunting is their NATURAL INSTINCT so is the play. So before you comment nasty things and have your 2 cents worth read what our posts are actually about. Nastiness will get you nowhere and we will remove you from page no questions asked. Just as an FYI also, we do these kind of posts not just on cats but dogs as well especially when a koala is attacked, cats are not singled out always. Just so u are all aware the person who brought the bat to us was actually quite distraught over the matter and they tried all they could and for that we thank them. Not many people would have done what they did. ADMIN
